Pichai explained in a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/technology\/ai\/bard-google-ai-search-updates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog post<\/a> that Bard, an experimental conversational artificial intelligence service based on the company\u2019s Language Model for Dialogue Applications, will be opened to \u201ctrusted testers ahead of making it more widely available to the public in the coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBard seeks to combine the breadth of the world\u2019s knowledge with the power, intelligence and creativity of our large language models. It draws on information from the web to provide fresh, high-quality responses,\u201d Pichai wrote. \u201cWe\u2019re releasing it initially with our lightweight model version of LaMDA. This much smaller model requires significantly less computing power, enabling us to scale to more users, allowing for more feedback. Venture capital firms are looking to buy shares at a price that would give OpenAI a valuation of almost $30 billion, even though there has been very little revenue. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/chatgpt-creator-openai-is-in-talks-for-tender-offer-that-would-value-it-at-29-billion-11672949279\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Report<\/a> The Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Pichai said that his company would integrate artificial intelligence systems like LaMDA and PaLM, Imagen and MusicLM into Google Search. The systems could answer complicated and analytical questions from users and aggregate information from multiple sources.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSoon, you\u2019ll see AI-powered features in Search that distill complex information and multiple perspectives into easy-to-digest formats,\u201d Pichai continued, \u201cso you can quickly understand the big picture and learn more from the web: whether that\u2019s seeking out additional perspectives, like blogs from people who play both piano and guitar, or going deeper on a related topic, like steps to get started as a beginner. These new AI features will begin rolling out on Google Search soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Google previously <a href=\"https:\/\/ai.google\/principles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vow<\/a> The company won&#8217;t pursue artificial intelligence solutions which cause harm, assist weapons or other harm inducing technologies, collect information for surveillance purposes, or violate any law. \u201cwidely accepted principles of international law and human rights.\u201d The company also stated that artificial intelligence products will be socially beneficial and not reinforce unfair bias.<\/p>\n<p>ChatGPT&#8217;s political and social views seem to be skewed leftward, which has been a concern for many conservatives. Nate Hochman, National Review journalist, asked ChatGPT several questions about his ideas. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/chatgpt-goes-woke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">considered<\/a> to be misinformation by fact-checkers and found that the system often echoed the establishment-sanctioned narrative, while Reason contributor David Rozado found that ChatGPT scored toward the <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2022\/12\/13\/where-does-chatgpt-fall-on-the-political-compass\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">center-Left<\/a> on four different political compass quizzes.
