Seta is a transgender activist group pushing for the law&#8217;s application to minors. Dr. Kaltiala, an expert in gender confusion and who has evaluated hundreds, believes the age limit should not change.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kaltiala explained that young people are more likely to experiment with other substances than they are with. \u201cdifferent identities\u201d Be \u201cprone to suggestion.\u201d She believes that identity building is only beginning in adolescence and the final outcome is yet to be determined. Dr. Kaltiala said that changing a legal marker for sex in youth is more than a formality. It is a psychological and social intervention that helps guide the development of a young individual. This type of intervention is a signal that it is possible to change sex markers in youth. \u201cright path\u201d For the young.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kaltiala stated that cases of \u201cgender identity\u201d There were few issues for children and young people. Since 2015, however, the number and profile of patients have changed.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, most patients were young boys struggling with gender distress, but now the majority of Dr. Kaltiala\u2019s patients are biological girls in their teenage years. Three out of four patients have significant mental health problems.<\/p>\n<p>Seta and other transgender advocacy groups rely heavily on the debunked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realityslaststand.com\/p\/pediatric-gender-medicine-and-the\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">affirm-or-suicide<\/a> To lobby for the early treatment of childhood gender dysphoria.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kaltiala says that the suicide rate is increasing and that hormone treatments and legal recognition of gender for minors are essential. \u201cpurposeful disinformation\u201d  \u201cirresponsible.\u201d Young people are more likely to have suicidal thoughts or behavior than those who are older. \u201cgender identity\u201d Not only are there issues related to concomitant psychiatric disorders but also \u201cunaffirmed\u201d She also explained gender.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMentally healthy young people who experience their gender in a way that differs from their biological body are not automatically suicidal,\u201d Dr. Kaltiala.<\/p>\n<p>A large Swedish study showed that suicide rates increased in adults who had received sex-change treatment. In Finland, a study revealed that many minors with hormonal care suffered from mental decline. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, it is not justified to tell the parents of young people experiencing transgenderism that the young person is at risk of suicide without corrective treatment and that the danger can be countered with gender reassignment treatment,\u201d says Dr. Kaltiala. Dr. Kaltiala recommends that medicalization not be started before the age of 18.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kaltiala commented on the dominant suicide discourse. He noted that even though adults claim to have been able to benefit from chemical or surgical sexchange services, they lack the understanding and desire to help children. \u201ca child is not a small adult.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Finnish Pediatric Society stated that gender self-identification should not be extended for minors in its statement to the Social and Health Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Finland, like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/swedens-new-pediatric-treatment-guidelines-ditch-gender-affirming-medication-for-psychotherapy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sweden <\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/englands-national-health-service-abandons-gender-affirming-model-of-care\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">England,<\/a> A systematic review of the evidence concerning pediatric medical transition has been conducted. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/florida-medical-boards-vote-to-ban-medical-transition-for-minors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida\u2019s Boards of Medicine<\/a>Each concluded that the risks outweighed any potential benefits. It led to the closing of prominent gender clinics, the restriction of the use of hormones that cross-sex, and the ban on minors undergoing gender-related surgery. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/italian-psychological-association-expressed-great-concern-over-puberty-blocking-drugs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italy<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/new-data-reveals-pediatric-gender-clinic-referrals-in-australia-have-skyrocketed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australia<\/a>And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/spains-medical-societies-revolt-against-proposed-transgender-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spain\u2019s<\/a> Recent concerns by medical professionals have also been raised.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, U.S.-based medical associations have used weak evidence to support positions and have refused systematic reviews.
