Cruz highlighted one email from Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop that he said \u201creads as if it was cut-and-pasted from an official government briefing. An official government briefing that one would infer his father had received. And it reads as if it could easily have come from a classified briefing. We don\u2019t know that. But the level of geopolitical and geo-strategic analysis is the sort of analysis that is often in classified briefings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As a response, the ahref=&#8221;https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2023\/02\/02\/laptop-email-suggests-hunter-biden-read-newspapers-not-classified-documents\/&#8221;>Washington Post\u2019s Glenn Kessler<\/a> Attempted to argue all of the email simply proves that \u201cHunter Biden reads newspapers,\u201d and branded false Cruz\u2019s opinion that a particular email read like a government document.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cruz replied:<\/p>\n<p>This is what you saw. Glenn Kessler, fact-checker at the Washington Post, gave us three facts \u2018Pinocchios.\u2019 Why? Because they said we couldn\u2019t prove Hunter Biden\u2019s email about Ukraine that we walked through on an earlier podcast, that we couldn\u2019t prove it came from a Vice Presidential briefing or classified materials. Now, mind you, we didn\u2019t assert that it came from classified materials, we said it has a level of scholarship and erudition that it markedly atypical from anything else Hunter Biden has ever wrote. It is written in the same style as these briefings and contains the same level of analysis. I can tell you that this briefing could be easily classified, having seen many. All of these are true &#8211; Glenn Kessler however, said \u2018Well, we\u2019re the Washington Post dammit and it\u2019s our job to be press secretary for the White House.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You can see the full video below.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cruz\u2019s Special Advisor for Communications previously responded to Kessler last week, blasting his fact-check as \u201ctrash.\u201d \u201c The Washington Post \u2018Fact Checker\u2019 lives in a world where he issues Pinocchios on legitimate open questions about how Hunter Biden got the information in his emails and then he uses wiggle words like \u2018suggest,\u2019 \u2018appears,\u2019 or\u00a0 \u2018we\u2019re fairly confident.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">You &#8220;presume&#8221; Hunter &#8220;acquired some research skills&#8221; Yale &#038; Georgetown Hunter didn&#8217;t apply to those schools based on merit. Cruz&#8217;s rebuttal is not strong enough to be published. As I ahref=&#8221;https:\/\/bongino.com\/faux-fact-checkers-target-ted-cruz&#8221;>documented An article published last month<\/a>The illogic must be seen to be believed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When Sen. Cruz said that antifa rioted in 2020, a Newsweek fact-checker went as far as to call into question whether or not antifa actually exists because they\u2019re not a registered group.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In July 2021, nearly 60 Texas State House Democrats tried to block a voter integrity law by leaving Texas to prevent a majority. Sen. Cruz demanded their arrest. \u201cthere is clear legal authority to handcuff and put in leg irons legislators that are trying to stop the legislature from being able to do business.\u201d PolitiFact rated this claim false &#8211; and then never updated their article when the Texas Supreme Court allowed for the arrest of Democrats who don\u2019t show up to the legislature. This resulted in the immediate issuance of arrest warrants for 52 Democrats and the termination of their political stunt.<\/p>\n<p>A Huffington Post fact-checker clarified what the word meant when Sen. Cruz said that Republicans had never attempted to pack the Supreme Court like Democrats. \u201ccourt packing\u201d It was argued that Republicans have crowded the courts as Donald Trump appointed a lot of appeals court judges and district court judges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>PolitiFact rated Sen.
