However, the defense responded that they did not have any evidence to present at this point but would be open to presenting it at a later time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are no books, papers, documents, photographs, or copies, or portions thereof in the possession of the Defendant at this time, which will be submitted at the time of trial,\u201d the suspect\u2019s attorney, Ann Taylor, wrote to the prosecution last week. \u201cThere are no results or reports of physical or mental examinations or scientific tests which are in the possession of the Defendant at this time, which will be submitted at the time of trial.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The defense stated that they might use evidence that had been \u201cbeen disclosed by the State in discovery material\u201d During the trial. Defense also must be prepared. \u201cmay also call as a witness people that were disclosed as a potential witness by the State and any other persons who were named by the State within other discovery materials,\u201d According to the filing.<\/p>\n<p>Four counts of first-degree murder were filed against the suspect. One count of felony burglary was brought up in connection to the deaths of Kaylee Goncalves (21), Ethan Chapin (20), Xana Kernodle (20) and Madison Mogen (21). The suspect made his appearance in court. He was placed under arrest without bail and will appear again on June 26.<\/p>\n<p>A state court in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/washington\">Washington<\/a>\u00a0in January unsealed the search warrants used to collect items from the suspect\u2019s home and office at Washington State University\u2019s department of criminal justice and criminology, where the suspect was pursuing his Ph.D.<\/p>\n<p>Police found nothing at the suspect\u2019s office, the filings show, but hair samples and other evidence were collected from his apartment.<\/p>\n<p>According to search warrants, police wanted blood, DNA, shoes that had a specific pattern on their soles, as well as any information about the victims of the November 13th shooting in Moscow, Idaho.<\/p>\n<p>Police seized a \u201cnitrite-type black glove,\u201d Three possible hairs, one animal hair strand, and a computer tower are possible. \u201cdark red spot,\u201d Two slices from an uncased pillow containing a \u201creddish\/brown stain,\u201d along with other items from the suspect\u2019s apartment.
