It was seen crossing over Montana military bases that have nuclear missile silos. The airship had covered the entire country and was eventually shot down by the military off the coast South Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>China stated that the shootdown was an a. &#8220;clear overreaction and a serious violation of international practice.&#8221; According to the Chinese government, the balloon was not for sale. &#8220;meteorological research.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s threat to the Biden administration is made by Secretary of State Antony Blinken <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/blinken-postpones-visit-to-beijing-after-chinese-spy-balloon-spotted-over-us-nuclear-sites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delayed<\/a> His trip to Beijing, where he was to meet this week with Chinese President Xi Jinping. China stated that they had cancelled the trip. &#8220;never announced any visit&#8221; America&#8217;s decision was made by Blinken. &#8220;own business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, Biden followed the Pentagon&#8217;s advice and waited until the balloon was over open water before he took it down. This would have prevented civilians from being harmed by the debris. Biden&#8217;s inaction was criticised by Republicans. Former secretary of State Mike Pompeo also condemned it. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/national-security\/full-of-hot-air-how-bidens-weakness-assures-chinese-aggression\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Writing<\/a> In the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> Biden&#8217;s &#8220;weakness with China is once again on display.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Biden must reassert American resolve, not continue to peddle American weakness,&#8221; Pompeo wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Rep.
