The goal is to <a href=\"https:\/\/legiscan.com\/VA\/votes\/SB80\/2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SB 80<\/a> \u2014 and similar bills passed in 23 other states \u2014 was to prevent another flood of \u201cZuckbucks,\u201d When the partisan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/center-for-tech-and-civic-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Center for Tech and Civic Life<\/a> Mark Zuckerberg donated $350 million to (largely Democratic) election offices in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Now that achievement is threatened as Senate Democrats attempt to repeal the Zuckbucks ban, exposing Virginia\u2019s elections to unaccountable money and partisan influence forever.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vpap.org\/bills\/78687\/SB1180\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SB 1180<\/a> Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.senate.virginia.gov\/Senator\/memberpage.php?id=S85\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Adam Ebbin<\/a>D-Arlington, who voted last year to ban Zuckbucks. The Senate Committee on Privileges &#038; Elections voted SB 1180 out on partisan lines. It will now be sent to the Democrat-controlled Senate. This same committee <a href=\"https:\/\/legiscan.com\/VA\/rollcall\/SB80\/id\/1127597\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">voted unanimously<\/a> The ban was passed a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>What has changed? The answer is simple: CTCL&#8217;s latest scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Two months after Virginia\u2019s Democratic-controlled Senate voted to ban Zuckbucks, CTCL launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techandciviclife.org\/us-alliance-for-election-excellence-launch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence<\/a>A $80 million coalition of strategy groups, activists, and political advisors with a <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/making-vote-by-mail-permanent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dark vision for America\u2019s elections<\/a>. Two members represent $1.6 billion of Arabella Advisors \u201cdark money\u201d Network, the most powerful <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/dark-money-backing-the-latest-zuck-bucks-push\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Liberal lobbying force<\/a> Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<p>CTCL assured the nation that the alliance was in place at the time. <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/2022-midterm-elections-biden-covid-technology-business-7c9c9aeca62a308aafef886859640835\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wouldn\u2019t provide private funding<\/a>It is only \u201ctraining\u201d for election administrators. Now it\u2019s dangling six- and seven-figure grants to lure county elections officials into joining this secretive project \u2014 money which supposedly comes with \u201calmost no restrictions on how it can be spent,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/2022-midterm-elections-united-states-government-and-politics-78e0e0d548df9023aeac1c9c690b48f8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According<\/a> AP<\/p>\n<p>In reality, <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/breaking-zuck-bucks-pushing-progressive-policy-in-elections-offices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">secret documents reveal<\/a> How the alliance was created \u201cscholarships\u201d To pay the county membership fees, these awards were then converted to \u201ccredits\u201d What countries are eligible to buy services <em>Exclusively<\/em> from alliance partners, all of whom are partisan groups aiming to expand vote-by-mail, roll back voter ID laws, and implement the left\u2019s raft of extreme election \u201creforms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nevada\u2019s Clark County, centered in Las Vegas, got <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2023\/01\/19\/big-tech-aligned-group-funnels-3-million-nevadas-largest-county-2024-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$3,000,000<\/a>. Madison, Wisconsin \u2014 one of the first cities to <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/wisconsin-drop-boxes-and-the-taint-of-zuck-bucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Propose and get Zuckbucks<\/a> in 2020 \u2014\u00a0 got another <a href=\"https:\/\/madison.com\/news\/local\/govt-and-politics\/madison-poised-to-get-1-5-million-from-nonprofit-that-prompted-gops-constitutional-amendment\/article_48acffba-00db-5a2e-837b-51738aea0813.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$1.5 million<\/a>. North Carolina\u2019s Brunswick and Forsyth Counties <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/north_carolina\/just-say-no-zuckerbucks-for-elections-declined-by-two-in-old-north-state\/article_3d0917ea-9830-11ed-957c-df4969ee3768.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The funding was declined<\/a> but agreed to CTCL\u2019s \u201ctraining\u201d courses. And after an ugly battle, Greenwich, Connecticut, narrowly voted (104\u2013101) to accept a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctinsider.com\/news\/greenwichtime\/article\/grant-17726097.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$500,000 grant for alliance<\/a>Zuckbuck zealots label skeptics \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenwichtime.com\/opinion\/article\/Peter-Sherr-opinion-Can-we-stand-up-to-bullies-17732749.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">conspiracy theorists<\/a>\u201d Get sick of the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenwichtime.com\/opinion\/article\/Alma-Rutgers-opinion-Has-the-Greenwich-RTM-17731855.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MAGA virus<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The CTCL granted grants to three states that had legislatures in the seven where it was available. This was only for Democratic governors. <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalresearch.org\/article\/states-banning-zuck-bucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Veto the bills<\/a> \u2014 in Wisconsin\u2019s case, <em>Do it twice<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This makes Virginia the next battleground for Zuckbucks, if Democrats succeed in repealing their ban on private financing.
