Kasparian <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/his-audience-isnt-crying-about-it-young-turks-ana-kasparian-defends-debate-with-ben-shapiro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">We refused to give up<\/a>, and returned to have a conversation with Shapiro for this week\u2019s episode of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/show\/sunday-special\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Ben Shapiro Show Sunday Special<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe approach that we have implemented is clearly not working; more people are dying,\u201d Kasparian spoke out about the Los Angeles homelessness crisis.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/show\/sunday-special\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE FOR BEN SHAPIRO\u2019S \u201cSUNDAY SPECIAL\u201d\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI get so much flack for saying this: I want an actual solution,\u201d She spoke. \u201cIt is insanely cruel to watch people die on our streets and then give yourself a pat on the back because you think you did something compassionate. That is not compassionate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to get that person help,\u201d She spoke of those suffering from severe mental disorders. \u201cThey need help, and I don\u2019t care how vicious people think I am for saying that, it\u2019s just common sense, it really is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kasparian stated that the problems in Los Angeles and California are a result of \u201ca\u00a0huge mental health\u201d Crisis, drug addiction and a lack thereof \u201chousing inventory.\u201d The Left\u2019s policy prescriptions have not been effective, the journalist said, arguing that ignoring and denying the problem is dangerous and particularly unhelpful for the communities the Left claims to care about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDenying that the problem exists is the other part of this,\u201d Kasparian asserted. The journalist recalls being attacked while out walking her dog in Los Angeles and having to deal with the backlash of some Leftists for speaking publicly about her victimization.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was shocked by the kind of reaction I got from people I typically agree with politically,\u201d Kasparian stated.<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro was told by Shapiro that she was attacked while out walking her dog in her local neighborhood. Two men, who appeared to be homeless and on drugs, approached her as she was walking along the street. One of them grabbed her and began pushing his penis repeatedly at her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have to think about that at least twice a day when I take my dog out for a walk. Yes, it is traumatizing,\u201d She added, \u201cWhat\u2019s making it worse, though, is that I\u2019m the bad guy for sharing this story and saying, hey, we can\u2019t just let this kind of stuff happen. We need to find real solutions for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro and Kasparian fought it out over healthcare reform during the same sit-down. While they both agreed that the healthcare system is broken at present, Kasparian advocated for government-funded reform. \u201cmedical for all\u201dShapiro advocated for more privatization and community programs, with an end to the connection between the employer and the healthcare provider.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce you make systems national, you\u2019re going to have to, in some way, ration the resources,\u201d Shapiro explained, noting of 12-24 hour delayed ambulances with England\u2019s National Health Service (NHS). \u201cYou\u2019re going to have to either increase the resources you are utilizing, which means increasing taxes, or increasing regulations; or you\u2019re going to have to ration care that people are going to receive on the other end.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy personal experience with a sort of \u2018medical for all\u2019 system is in Israel,\u201d Shapiro explained. \u201cTheir emergency care is very good, and if you have cancer, you are \u2014 <em>in serious trouble<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe United States has the highest five-year survival rate for things like breast cancer,\u201d He added. \u201cIf you have a serious disease, people are coming to the United States for surgery, for treatment. If you have a broken arm, you\u2019re probably better off in a nationalized healthcare system, because it\u2019s a fairly simple thing to solve and it\u2019s not going to \u2018cost you,\u2019 indirectly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Early in the discussion, the pair stressed that people of different viewpoints should talk to each other.
