Here is Tucker Carlson, Fox News host.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>In any event, putting the theatrics aside, I hope this ends up being a moment when the U.S. media and public at large start to see the real threat from China \u2013 and not some balloon \u2013 but the rise of Chinese intelligence and military capabilities over the last thirty years.\n<\/p>\n<h2>The Rise of China is a Real Threat\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>In fact, America had spent far too much blood and treasure in Middle East. China was building an elite military with one goal in mind: to defeat or deter the U.S. during a war.<\/p>\n<p>This revelation was actually what prompted me to change careers and pursue a career in marketing. <a href=\"https:\/\/video.foxbusiness.com\/v\/6310190281112\">My own dream<\/a> This is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KXJxBIUBaZM\">Having a small part<\/a> In the national security discussions of our nation.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>So, let us move on from the hysterics of this balloon debate and focus on the real China threats \u2013 many of which have been missed by the media over the years.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Take, for example: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defensenews.com\/breaking-news\/2016\/03\/24\/chinese-businessman-pleads-guilty-of-spying-on-f-35-and-f-22\/\">China has stolen data<\/a> about some of our most lethal military platforms \u2013 and almost no one seemed to care. This includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2022\/12\/why-did-the-air-force-build-the-f-22-raptor-stealth-fighter\/\">F-22 Raptor<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2023\/01\/u-s-and-isreali-f-35s-and-f-15s-are-training-for-war-with-iran\/\">F-35 Joint Strike Fighter<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2022\/09\/we-think-we-know-why-the-ford-class-could-be-the-final-navy-aircraft-carriers\/\">Ford-class Aircraft Carrier<\/a>These and many other things. A former official from the U.S. Defense Department has repeatedly told me that China has stolen more than $1 trillion in U.S. military secrets during the past twenty years.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>There is also the obvious military threat. The rise of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2020\/11\/chinas-df-21d-and-df-26b-asbms-is-the-u-s-military-ready\/\">China\u2019s ballistic missile forces<\/a>It was created to destroy U.S. andAllied bases throughout the Indo-Pacific, as well as our warships and warships at sea.\n<\/p>\n<p>For example, take the DF-21D \u2018aircraft-carrier\u2019 missile. You should be concerned about a Chinese spy satellite.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here is what I wrote about ten years back in the a-href=&#8221;https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2013\/oct\/31\/kazianis-chinas-carrier-killer-missile\/&#8221;>Washington Times<\/a>:\n<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cChina is developing what could be seen as the ultimate such weapon, a real nightmare for the U.S. Navy. Since at least the mid-1990s, Beijing has been developing a highly advanced ballistic missile, the DF-21D, popularly dubbed \u201cthe carrier-killer.\u201d On paper, such a missile could truly complicate Washington\u2019s ability to move naval vessels as a hedge against China\u2019s growing military might.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>Understanding how the missile works is crucial to its deadly potential. The weapon is mobile, making its detection difficult \u2014 even under the best of circumstances. The missile can be guided by advanced radars, satellites, and perhaps an unmanned aerial vehicle when it is fired. According to various reports, it may have a maneuverable warhead that could defeat missile-defense systems. It slams down on its target \u2014 an oceangoing vessel like an aircraft carrier \u2014 at speeds of Mach 10 to 12. The missile is capable of attacking naval vessels up to 1,000 miles away. This distance exceeds the strike range of any U.S. aircraft on existing carriers.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>Until recently, considering the science fiction-like description of such a weapon, many doubted the ability of China\u2019s still-evolving defense industry to develop the missile. Many have pointed out that Soviet engineers were unable to develop similar weapons in the 1970s. It&#8217;s not easy to hit a moving target in the high seas; only a world-class defense and scientific industry would make it possible.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>However, simply dismissing China\u2019s capability to develop such a missile may have been wishful thinking. Recent research from the Washington-based Jamestown Foundation found that America has good reason to be worried.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>As early as the 1970s, Chinese military experts started to think about how to use missiles against navy vessels. Research accelerated after America deployed two aircraft carriers in the 1995-96 Taiwan crisis. According to the report, the DF-21D was capable in hitting slow-moving targets by 2010. The missile was declared successful by a U.S. Admiral in late 2010. \u201cinitial operational capacity,\u201d and U.S. officials this year think China has actually deployed the latest version of the missile.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Now, fast forward to 2023. China has successfully tested the missile multiple times and it works as advertised.\n<\/p>\n<p>The DF-26B is a long-range missile that Beijing has developed. It can strike warships up to Guam.\n<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, China has so many ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missiles that many U.S. military experts think China could destroy most U.S. bases around China in a war \u2013 an actual 21st century Pearl Harbor.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>Let me summarize: Spy balloons can be dangerous.
