He spoke to us recently. <em>Forbes<\/em> Altman spoke out about the future and development of ChatGPT, which Altman hopes will one day become a reality. \u201cbreak capitalism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sam Altman, OpenAI CEO, was recently ahref=&#8221;https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/alexkonrad\/2023\/02\/03\/exclusive-openai-sam-altman-chatgpt-agi-google-search\/?sh=620ec4ca6a63&#8243;>interviewed<\/a> By <em>Forbes<\/em> magazine about the company\u2019s progress and future plans. OpenAI is the most highly regarded startup in the rapidly expanding generative AI category. In the interview, Altman talked about the company\u2019s journey and its meteoric rise of its first product, ChatGPT. Because of its ridiculously wokepolitized responses such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2023\/02\/01\/openais-chatgpt-gushes-about-joe-biden-refuses-to-praise-trump-or-desantis\/\">waxing poetic<\/a> Joe Biden, and ahref=&#8221;https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2023\/01\/25\/analysis-chatgpt-ai-demonstrates-leftist-bias\/&#8221;>demonstrating Leftist bias<\/a> A wide range of topics are covered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Altman described the current state of affairs as \u201can exciting time\u201d He expressed his hope that the company is still in its early stages with lots of room for growth. OpenAI sees ChatGPT&#8217;s recent success as just the beginning of an exponential path to improving AI technology and society&#8217;s impact.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Altman, when asked about ChatGPT&#8217;s success, stated that he was shocked by its sudden popularity. \u201cI wanted to do it because I thought it was going to work. So, I\u2019m surprised somewhat by the magnitude. But I was hoping and expecting people were going to really love it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Altman also expressed that he\u2019s a capitalist but that the AGI (artificial general intelligence that thinks like humans) could possibly disrupt the current economic system. \u201cI think capitalism is awesome. I love capitalism,\u201d Altman. \u201cOf all of the bad systems the world has, it\u2019s the best one \u2014 or the least bad one we found so far. I hope we find a way better one. And I think that if AGI really truly fully happens, I can imagine all these ways that it breaks capitalism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Altman also spoke out about the similarities between the AI market, other emerging technologies, such as search engines and cloud computing. Altman said that although there are many similarities between the two technologies, it is important that each technology be recognized for its uniqueness. He explained that it is easy for OpenAI to be compared to the cloud computing battles in which companies like Google and Microsoft engaged, but there are subtle differences in how companies will choose to enter the AI market.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>ChatGPT is a possibility when ChatGPT is mentioned.https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2023\/01\/30\/gmail-creator-chatgpt-ai-could-destroy-googles-business-within-two-years\/&#8221;>replacing Search engines that are more traditional<\/a> like Google Search, Altman said that while he doesn\u2019t think ChatGPT will replace search, he believes that an AI system could someday. \u201cI mean, I don\u2019t think ChatGPT does [replace Search]. But I think someday, an AI system could. More than that, though, I think people are just totally missing the opportunity if you\u2019re focused on yesterday\u2019s news.
