I guess not like a mainstream mom, though,\u201d Morrow spoke to The Federalist. \u201cI just have an interest in holistic living and I\u2019m also a very sarcastic person, so I can see the humor in the choices that I make.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morrow is one of the most popular holistic social media accounts, @reallyverycrunchy. Her humor-filled spin on the natural lifestyle she embraces earned her more than 1 million followers across TikTok and Instagram since the accounts\u2019 creation in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just feels hilarious and surreal because I am the most awkward person ever and also the most average mom. Just a mom just making fun of her life,\u201d Morrow spoke.<\/p>\n<p>Corporate media accuse Morrow of being a viral advocate for natural living <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20230120190334\/https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-features\/tiktok-crunchy-radicalize-parents-1234641814\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cradicalizing\u201d<\/a> Helping vulnerable parents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2020\/06\/the-anti-vax-movements-radical-shift-from-crunchy-granola-purists-to-far-right-crusaders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dangerous, \u201canti-science\u201d<\/a> information. Morrow and other influencers want everyone to be able to think for themselves and have fun. <\/p>\n<p>She is not the quirkily dressed woman she portrays on her website. But underneath her quirky fa\u00e7ade, there is a woman who inspires her followers to think for their own sake, assess what they put in their bodies and prioritize their time with their families. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt should never be about somebody making the wrong choice. Just about you making the right choice for your family,\u201d Morrow spoke.<\/p>\n<p> Crunch 101 <\/p>\n<p>The crunchy lifestyle was discovered by the Morrows in their quest to save money on food. The Morrows were living in an RV at the time and trying to figure out how to maximize nutrients while still keeping their grocery bills low.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI read somewhere that if you only buy <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/02\/02\/every-bite-of-processed-food-is-killing-you-study\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">processed foods<\/a> that have five ingredients or less, then it cuts out a lot of the stuff that you eat. Really, that was more of like a money-saving thing for me than a healthy eating thing. But it made me start looking at ingredients, which sparked my interest in, \u2018Why are there so many crazy ingredients in the food I\u2019m eating? What is this?\u2019\u201d Morrow spoke. <\/p>\n<p>They had children when the Morrows had them. \u201chad to make decisions for,\u201d The couple decided to live a holistic and fulfilled life.<\/p>\n<p>In late 2021, the Morrows realized Emily\u2019s passion for healthy living and Jason\u2019s interest in content creation could be harnessed to create online humor. The couple went to work writing, filming, and producing videos exaggerating and mocking Morrow\u2019s affinity for eating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/CeWvVCtJclX\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vegetables taken off the vine<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/Cg_3PaNgkRO\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\">toad husbandry<\/a>Share the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/Cc7uCcMAbes\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Breastmilk has healing properties<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Morrows started with a <em>Small <\/em>Ziel: In 2022, make and publish one satirical film every day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy our eighth video, the one about crunchy mom at a birthday party, that one went viral, and then it kind of went crazy from there,\u201d Jason said. <\/p>\n<p>Parodies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Ce_RMOygEkB\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cmouth tape\u201d<\/a>  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CbNBozXAAto\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cstore-bought bone broth\u201d<\/a> It may be niche, but thousands of users have shown that it is not.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;It just feels hilarious and surreal because I am the most awkward person ever and also the most average mom.
