This highlights the importance of what the <em>New York Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2023\/02\/03\/business\/jobs-report-january-economy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Call it<\/a>\u00a0The labor market &#8220;extraordinary vibrancy&#8221; Technology and media companies are currently laying off thousands of workers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why it is important<\/strong>: The robust job growth suggests that when it comes to the American economy,\u00a0most journalists are superfluous chaff. Market has spoken: Less journalists equals more jobs for real workers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Background<\/strong>The <em>Washington Post<\/em>Since November, the publication owned by Jeff Bezos, &#8216;The Observer,&#8217; has fired many journalists. The newspaper&#8217;s employee union condemned the layoffs.\u00a0&#8220;unacceptable&#8221; During a &#8220;time of continued growth and expansion.&#8221; (Fact Check: The <em>Post<\/em>\u00a0Half a Million Dollars Lost <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/media\/washington-post-biden-fail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Subscribers<\/a>\u00a0A decline of approximately 20 percent has occurred since President Joe Biden was elected.<\/p>\n<p>Many media outlets struggle to survive in the post Donald Trump era.
