According to county records the initial purchase of the residence was by Biden and his wife Jill Biden in 2017, for $2.74million.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear how Biden obtained the line of credit that allows him to borrow up a quarter of one million dollars against his home&#8217;s equity. At the same time, President Biden&#8217;s classified documents dating back to his time as vice president were being discovered.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden has been under federal investigation since 2018 for his tax affairs \u2013 an investigation that was predicated, in part, by suspicious activity reports (SARs) regarding some foreign transactions. Sources familiar with the investigation say that those SARs were based on funds from. &#8220;China and other foreign nations.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>David Weiss (Delaware U.S.A. His lawyers discovered the records at the Washington, D.C., headquarters of his think tank, The Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, several months prior to Nov. 2.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Because of the confidential document discovery, the National Archives Office was forced to contact the Justice Department to provide information about the records.<\/p>\n<p>The event in turn sparked a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/tech\/topics\/fbi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Bureau of Investigation<\/a>\u00a0It used its standard protocol to assess whether mishandling of classified data was occurring that violated federal law on Nov. 9. Biden&#8217;s lawyers told Lausch on December 20 that more classified documents were found in Lausch&#8217;s Wilmington garage. A few weeks later, Garland named Robert Hur, U.S. attorney, as special counsel to investigate Biden&#8217;s documents.<\/p>\n<p>FBI also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/doj-searching-biden-delaware-beach-home-classified-document-investigation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recently searched<\/a>\u00a0Biden lived in Rehoboth Beach, his vacation home. He took out the credit line.
