The girl and her older brother attend Coconut Palm Academy, Homestead, Florida.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">High school students <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Flordia?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Flordia<\/a> filmed beating the daylights out of a female in the 3rd grade and her 10 year old big brother\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SfG3IVVZXI\">pic.twitter.com\/SfG3IVVZXI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Fight Haven (@FightHaven) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FightHaven\/status\/1621355165411586048?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 3, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmotionally, I couldn\u2019t even last two minutes,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/news\/student-charged-after-beatdown-inside-school-bus-in-homestead\/\">said<\/a> the young girl\u2019s mother, identified as Jenni. \u201cI couldn\u2019t look at the video. Like any mother, I am destroyed. I fell to my knees and at that moment I said I have to do something. \u2026 Another kid came out of nowhere and hit my son and he fell to his knees, and they started to hit him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis needs to be taken care of right away,\u201d Jenni added. \u201cOur children are in danger at school where we are trusting other people to do their jobs. That\u2019s not justifiable. It doesn\u2019t matter what was said. Our kids need to learn that through violence nothing is resolved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The teenage boy who ruthlessly assaulted the young girl reportedly received a civil citation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/news\/local\/student-arrested-after-video-shows-brutal-beating-of-3rd-grader-on-miami-dade-school-bus\/2964748\/\">according<\/a> to NBC South Florida.<\/p>\n<p>According to the parents of the children who were beaten, their children started at the school in January and had been bullied repeatedly before the incident, the <a href=\"https:\/\/rivercitypost.org\/9-year-old-girl-and-10-year-old-boy-get-savagely-beaten-by-high-school-kids-on-a-florida-bus\/\">River City Post<\/a> reported. The parents have removed their children from the school and said they may take legal action.<\/p>\n<p>Another mother who has a third-grader at the school told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/news\/student-charged-after-beatdown-inside-school-bus-in-homestead\/\">CBS News<\/a>, \u201cMy son was bullied at that school, since the beginning of the school year.\u201d She said when she alerted teachers and administrators they were unresponsive. \u201cThere was an incident during P.E. and she said that what happens in P.E. stays in P.E. and that to me was just bewildering. \u2026 I had to pull my kid out of the school, cause that school doesn\u2019t care about their children,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Miami-Dade County Public Schools officials issued a statement regarding the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdditionally, those involved will be disciplined according to the Code of Student Conduct,\u201d the statement read. \u201cThe safety and wellbeing of our students is of the utmost importance. This school district goes to great lengths to promote the values of restraint and respect as well as using social media responsibly.
