(Angela Weiss\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/figure>\n<h2>Data Was \u2018Unlawfully Accessed, Manipulated,\u2019 Lawyers Say<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThis failed dirty political trick directly resulted in the exposure, exploitation, and manipulation of Mr. Biden\u2019s private and personal information. Mr. Mac Isaac\u2019s intentional, reckless, and likely unlawful conduct allowed for hundreds of gigabytes of Mr. Biden\u2019s personal data, without any discretion, to be circulated around the Internet. Politicians and the news media have used this unlawfully accessed, copied, distributed, and manipulated data to distort the truth and cause harm to Mr. Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter cites potential violations\u00a0of an array of statutes prohibiting the unauthorized access of a computer or stored electronic communication, as well as the transport of stolen data across state lines and the publication of restricted personal data with the intent to intimidate or threaten.<\/p>\n<p>Mac Isaac is also mentioned in the letter. \u201cshared a copy of the hard drive with Rudy Giuliani, after a tip from Mr. Mac Isaac to one of Mr. Giuliani\u2019s assistants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Giuliani then distributed a copy to Steve Bannon (on September 28, 2020, Mr. Bannon claimed he had a copy),\u201d According to the lawyers. \u201cIn addition, Mr. Giuliani, working with his friend and former New York police chief Bernard Kerik, gave a copy of a hard drive to Garrett Ziegler, a former aide to Trump White House official Peter Navarro. On October 11, 2020, Mr. Giuliani provided a copy of Mr. Biden\u2019s computer data to the New York Post.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Biden did not consent to Messrs. Mac Isaac, Giuliani, or Costello providing his computer data to any third parties, including the New York Post,\u201d The lawyers wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden laptop story was published in New York Post just weeks before the 2020 election.\u00a0At the time, the publication\u00a0reported that the laptop\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/fbi-obtains-hunter-biden-computer-data-on-ukraine-dealings-documents_3538921.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The FBI had allegedly taken the items<\/a>\u00a0and a copy of the files given to Rudy Giuliani\u2019s lawyer, Robert Costello, by Mac Isaac.<\/p>\n<p>The story was quickly suppressed on\u00a0various social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook, and many media outlets attempted to play it off as\u00a0Russian disinformation meant to damage Joe Biden\u2019s presidential campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Mac Isaac noted that <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/02\/01\/hunter-biden-admits-infamous-laptop-is-his-in-plea-for-probe\/\">New York Post<\/a> that the letter was delivered as\u00a0House Republicans are readying to open probes into Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think with Congress starting investigations next week, it\u2019s a scare tactic,\u201d Mac Isaac said. \u201cThe flak is heaviest when you are over the target!\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4790885\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/10\/12\/GettyImages-1242488276-1200x800.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy size-medium wp-image-4790885\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/themes\/eet\/images\/white.png\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GettyImages-1242488276-600x400-1.jpg\" alt=\"Epoch Times Photo\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4790885\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/GettyImages-1242488276-600x400-1.jpg\" alt=\"Epoch Times Photo\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a> After attending Holy Spirit Catholic Church mass in Johns Island on August 13, 2022, President Joe Biden (L), waved alongside his son Hunter Biden. (Nicholas Kamm\/AFP via Getty Images).<\/figure>\n<h2>\u2018These Facts and Circumstances Merit Further Investigation\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>When Costello was asked for his opinion on behalf of Giuliani and himself, he said that the letter was a \u201cfrivolous legal document\u201d That \u201creeks of desperation because they know judgment day is coming for the Bidens.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that these facts and circumstances merit further investigation as to whether the conduct of Messrs.
