He also kidnapped a second woman in 1970. Thomas Lamb changed his name in 2007. \u201cMichelle.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In the years that followed, Lamb reportedly requested to be moved to a women\u2019s facility. However, the request was turned down. But, records obtained by News13 show that Lamb was moved to a women\u2019s prison this month (via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wibw.com\/2023\/01\/31\/kansas-transgender-inmate-transferred-all-female-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News 13<\/a>):<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/ecf.ksd.uscourts.gov\/cgi-bin\/show_public_doc?2016cv3077-67\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. District Court ruled\u00a0<\/a>Lamb sued the state, asking it to move her to an all female facility and permit her to have gender re-assignment surgeries. In 2018, the ruling was upheld by the Appeals Court. It stated that Lamb was receiving treatment for gender dysphoria and that the state was not showing her. \u201cdeliberate indifference\u201d Please refer to her situation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">However, Kansas Dept. According to Kansas Department.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Although it is unclear if Lamb will continue with the gender reassignment operation, 13 NEWS asked Randall Bowman from KDOC public affairs about whether the state would cover the cost.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bowman would not comment on Lamb\u2019s case specifically.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cHealthcare decisions are not made by KDOC officials,\u201d Bowman said. \u201cDue to patient privacy concerns, KDOC and the Governor\u2019s Office cannot comment on the specifics of medical care for any one individual.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Lamb was sentenced for life imprisonment for his crimes against women (via). <a href=\"https:\/\/reduxx.info\/transgender-killer-and-rapist-who-blamed-his-crimes-on-his-female-side-is-quietly-moved-to-a-womens-prison\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Reduxx<\/a>):<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Lamb was convicted of murdering Karen Sue Kemmerly (24-year-old student at University of Kansas-Missouri) on December 5, 1969.<\/p>\n<p>Kemmerly was murdered by Lamb after Kemmerly commented that he was a sexy man. \u201chandsome man,\u201d This sent him into a violent fit of rage, as he saw himself to be a woman. Lamb killed the woman and then left her nude body in a cornfield. The young student\u2019s body was found approximately five days after her death on December 7.<\/p>\n<p>Lamb was also convicted of kidnapping Patricia Ann Childs, 18 years old, on January 15, 1970. Childs was returned home to her family after Lamb demanded that her father pay a ransom. During the ordeal, Lamb bound Childs\u2019 hands and raped her, <a href=\"https:\/\/ecf.ksd.uscourts.gov\/cgi-bin\/show_public_doc?2016cv3077-67\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to court documents<\/a>Although he was never charged with sexual assault,<\/p>\n<p>Lamb was eventually convicted of two counts kidnapping as well as one count first degree murder. He is currently serving three consecutive lifetime sentences in prison.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The following records were obtained by the <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/california\/californias-female-prisoners-feel-threatened-by-transgender-inmates-the-state-doesnt-care\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Free Beacon<\/a> California specifically is a good example. &#8220;high number&#8221; Self-described &#8220;transgender&#8221; Inmates are sexual predators. The records showed that one third of the 287 biological women who applied for housing in women&#8217;s prisons were registered sexual offenders. The rapes were committed shortly thereafter. <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2023\/01\/24\/trans-woman-found-guilty-of-raping-two-women-n2618672\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The reports broke<\/a> that the rapist, a biological male who identifies as a transgender woman, would be housed in a women\u2019s jail while awaiting sentencing. Following backlash from the public, the rapist was not sent to a women\u2019s facility after all.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Missouri executed an earlier execution this month \u201cAmber McLaughlin,\u201d \u00a0the first \u201copenly transgender\u201d Inmate in the United States. McLaughlin, who used the name Scott, was convicted for murder in 2006.
