You want to make us safer? Invest in poverty, in ending poverty, invest in housing, invest in climate, invest in education,&#8221; Bowman spoke on CNN. &#8220;What we&#8217;re doing is adding more police and feeding the prison industrial complex, and that has to stop.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Bowman&#8217;s comments were in response the January 10th death of Tyre Nicks. Tyre was brutally beaten by Memphis officers after he was pulled over for driving infractions. Democrats and liberal media have been quick to point to the killing as an example of\u00a0 &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/media\/the-media-agree-black-cops-beating-black-victim-is-white-supremacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">white supremacy<\/a>Despite the fact that both the victim, and the police officers were all of black, it was still a &#8220;&#8221; CNN&#8217;s Van Jones wrote an opinion piece entitled &#8220;The police who killed Tyre Nichols were Black.
