These scars can be added on to any Sims character for males \u201caged Teen or older,\u201d according to the report, regardless of their base body model\u2019s gender. The \u201cTop Surgery Scar\u201d A distinction was made to indicate that a character had undergone breast surgery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also available in \u201cCreate a Sim\u201d Optional items, available under the \u201cTops\u201d subcategory \u201cTanks,\u201d Players can also choose to wear chest binders. Other types of shapewear include \u201ctucking underwear\u201d It can be found in the \u201cBottoms\u201d section in the subcategory \u201cunderwear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sims celebrated the additions via a post on social networking.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The base game update includes new content such as medical wearables (binders), shapewear, and light switches. Since 2016, Sims players can mix and match male and female traits. In 2022, an update allowed users to choose their Sims character\u2019s sexual orientations and pronouns.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You can use pre-set pronouns like she\/her, him\/her or they\/them. Users can also add custom entries to their Sims.<\/p>\n<p>Per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/video-games\/2022\/05\/24\/sims-4-pronouns-update\/\">The Washington Post<\/a>Maxis, a game developer, collaborated with LGBTQ advocacy groups \u201cIt Gets Better Project\u201d GLAAD and to determine the best way to add the pronoun feature. \u201cThe Sims 4\u201d John Faciane, producer, called this partnership between the game&#8217;s two groups \u201ca step in the direction of a more inclusive experience for Simmers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile this update isn\u2019t the be-all end-all of representation of nonbinary and other gender diverse folks, we strongly feel that it\u2019s important for us to approach better inclusivity over time as we figure out ways to work within the limitations of our code,\u201d Faciane spoke of the 2022 pronoun update.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaking \u2018The Sims 4\u2019 more inclusive of gender neutrality is an ongoing learning and development process for us and we will continue to update this feature over time,\u201d Electronic Arts, the game publisher, wrote that it still contained gendered language like \u201cmother\u201d And \u201cfather.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The life simulation video game \u201cThe Sims 4\u201d just released a free update that includes multiple customization options aimed at players who wish to appear transgender.
