In the video, Gunn claims his vision for DC moving forward is to make sure it\u2019s all connected.<\/p>\n<p>He explained, \u201cIt\u2019s one of our jobs, mine and Peter\u2019s, to come in and make sure the DCU is connected in film, television, gaming, and animation. That the characters are consistent, played by the same actors and it works within one story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gunn continued: \u201cAnd if something is outside of that like Matt Reeves\u2019 <em>Batman,<\/em> or Todd Phillips\u2019 <em>Joker,<\/em> or <em>Teen Titans GO! <\/em>that it is clearly labeled as DC Elseworlds, outside of the mainstream DCU continuity.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-block full\">\n<div class=\"video-player youtube\">[embedded content]<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Gunn then went on to explain how DC\u2019s upcoming film releases specifically with Shazam! He sees The Flash and Fury of The Gods as a part of his vision.<\/p>\n<p>He detailed, \u201cFirst, we have <em>Shazam! Fury of the Gods<\/em>. Shazam has always been off kind of in his own part of the DCU so he connects very well. That moves directly into <em>The Flash<\/em>, a fantastic movie that I really love, that resets the entire DCU universe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then to move into <em>Blue Beetle<\/em>, a fantastic film about a kid who is a marvelous part of the DCU and then into <em>Aquaman 2<\/em>, which leads directly into our next few projects,\u201d He said.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not these characters and actors continue on in Gunn\u2019s DCU vision is still unclear. Fury of the Gods (2023), Warner Bros. Pictures<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Gunn then revealed the first chapter in his DCU vision, Gods and Monsters. It begins with an obscure animated series called <em>Creature Commandos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This animated series, which will have seven episodes each, is being created by Gunn. Production is already underway. Robot, and Weasel.<\/p>\n<h2>Waller<\/h2>\n<p>Next up is a series called <em>Waller. <\/em>Gunn explains,<em> \u201c<\/em>This is a story of Amanda Waller played by Viola Davis. This is called <em>Superman: Legacy<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI\u2019m in the middle of it. I\u2019m having a great time doing it. And Superman will be released into theaters July 11, 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gunn didn&#8217;t say if he would direct, but Safran said that he hoped he would. \u201cWe\u2019re hoping that he will direct it. It\u2019s not an origin story. It focuses on Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. Superman represents truth, justice and the American way. This is based on Grant Morrison\u2019s great comic book run. Damian Wayne is my favorite Robin. He\u2019s a little assassin who Batman tries to get in line.
