This has been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I\u2019m moving on from daytime, there is so much more I wish to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am compelled to engage with a broader audience because I have grave concerns for the American family, and I am determined to help restore a clarity of purpose as well as our core values,\u201d He continued.<\/p>\n<p>Stepping back doesn\u2019t mean leaving television for the 72-year-old host, however. CBS confirmed McGraw&#8217;s participation in a \u201cstrategic primetime partnership\u201d That aims to assist him \u201cincrease his impact on television and viewers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You will soon receive more details about this project, which is scheduled to be published in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>McGraw rose in popularity during the 90s, after numerous appearances on \u201cThe Oprah Winfrey Show\u201d He was a featured guest expert. In 2002, he launched his own talk show which quickly became a daily staple. After nearly 4,000 episodes, featuring more than 20,000 guests, Dr. Phil hosted the show for almost two decades.<\/p>\n<p>Steve LoCascio (President of CBS Media Ventures) reacted positively to the show&#8217;s end by saying, \u201cPhil is a valued partner and member of the CBS\/King World family, and while his show may be ending after 21 years, I\u2019m happy to say our relationship is not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPhil changed the daytime landscape as the force behind one of the most popular talk shows ever on daytime TV,\u201d He continued. \u201cWe plan to be in the Dr. Phil business with the library for years to come and welcome opportunities to work together in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many other daytime TV mainstays have announced cancellations in recent weeks, including \u201cThe Wendy Williams Show,\u201d \u201cThe Ellen DeGeneres Show,\u201d \u201cDr. Oz,\u201d  \u201cThe Real.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Phil\u2019s talk show is officially ending following the 2022-2023 season after 21 years on the air.
