He is currently recovering after spinal surgery.<\/p>\n<p>Osbourne was the one who made the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/entertainment\">announcement<\/a> official on social media, saying he was grateful to fans who have remained dedicated all along. He said his \u201csinging voice is fine,\u201d but he can\u2019t physically commit to traveling and performing.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is probably one of the hardest things I\u2019ve ever had to share with my loyal fans\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aXGw3fjImo\">pic.twitter.com\/aXGw3fjImo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ozzy Osbourne (@OzzyOsbourne) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OzzyOsbourne\/status\/1620678367812124672?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 1, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honestly humbled by the way you\u2019ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time, but in all good conscience, I have now come to the realization that I\u2019m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European\/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn\u2019t deal with the travel required,\u201d the \u201cCrazy Train\u201d rocker wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNever would I have imagined my touring days would end this way,\u201d Osbourne went on. \u201cMy team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rock star underwent major surgery last summer which involved realigning pins in his neck and back. His wife Sharon Osbourne said the \u201cmajor operation\u201d would \u201cdetermine the rest of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In September, Osbourne discussed how he wasn\u2019t ready to step back and stop touring. \u201cIt\u2019s where I belong,\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/ozzy-osbourne-determined-to-tour-after-nightmare-health-setbacks\/\">told<\/a> People of being on stage. \u201cThe relationship I have with my audience is the biggest love affair of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am determined to get back on stage even if I have to be nailed to a board and wheeled on,\u201d Osbourne continued. \u201cSurvival is my legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The rocker has experienced many challenges throughout his career, including alcohol and substance abuse struggles and multiple hospitalizations. His current physical issues result from a near-fatal ATV accident in 2003. He\u2019s gone through several surgeries since then.<\/p>\n<p>Osbourne has been open about the pain of recovery ever since then, saying he\u2019s experienced \u201cagony\u201d following the surgery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt got so bad that at one point I thought: \u2018Oh God, please don\u2019t let me wake up tomorrow morning\u2019\u201d he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2022\/aug\/28\/ozzy-osbourne-i-have-sung-that-song-for-55-years-i-am-not-going-to-forget-the-words\">told<\/a> The Guardian.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Legendary rock star Ozzy Osbourne has announced he\u2019s retiring from touring and will cancel the remainder of his shows.
