These studies led to a worldwide movement of incorrectly named people. \u201cgender-affirming care,\u201d This can lead to hormone experimentation on youth, and sometimes, irreversible sexual mutilation.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, several flaws were found in the Dutch studies. The report states that the study authors only analyzed the cases with the highest outcomes and concluded that gender dysphoria is not caused by hormones or puberty blocks. They also failed to adequately examine the risks associated with these interventions.<\/p>\n<p>The American College of Pediatricians replied to the report in a <a href=\"https:\/\/acpeds.org\/press\/acpeds-calls-on-organizations-to-scrap-current-transgender-protocols-based-on-newly-published-critique\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Press release<\/a> Calling all organizations on January 25 \u201creconsider current protocols for gender dysphoric children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe entire pediatric transgender industry is based on these two Dutch studies,\u201d Michelle Cretella is the ACPeds&#8217; immediate past executive Director and an advisory board spokeswoman for Advocates Protecting Children. \u201cThis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/0092623X.2022.2150346\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">open access report<\/a> is critical because it exposes the fraudulent foundation of pediatric transgender medicine in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch studies were so important to the U.S. movement, Dr. Norman Spack opened the first American pediatric gender clinic. He was a pediatric endocrinologist who believed in the necessity of it. \u201cgender-affirming\u201d Cretella explained that Cretella visited the Dutch doctors responsible for publishing them and suggested interventions.<\/p>\n<p>However, these authors concluded that if the studies were published today, they would have been deemed low-quality and not encouraged the use puberty blocking drugs, wrong-sex hormonal therapy, or surgery in confused children and young people in general medical settings.<\/p>\n<p> \u2018No Evidence\u2019 Genetic Cause <\/p>\n<p>E. Abbruzzese and Stephen B. Levine have years of experience in studying the so-called gender identity. Since 1974, Levine has been working in this field as a psychiatrist.<\/p>\n<p>Levine and his coauthors started to voice concerns about the Dutch studies in March 2022. The scientists published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/0092623X.2022.2046221\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cReconsidering Informed Consent for Trans-Identified Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults\u201d<\/a> to characterize the studies\u2019 limitations. January&#8217;s report is a follow up to the original report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had no bias, we are just responding to and trying to articulate the limitations of the studies,\u201d Levine shared his knowledge with me. \u201cWe are doing harm to an unknown percentage of kids, and the data that is supportive of this work does not really address the issue.
