He allegedly said that Putin wanted to mess with his head and suggested that Johnson could be killed.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson spoke during a BBC documentary. \u201cHe threatened me at one point, and he said, \u2018Boris, I don\u2019t want to hurt you but, with a missile, it would only take a minute\u2019 or something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Johnson was interviewed about these remarks in an interview. \u201cSpecial Report\u201d Bret Baier<\/p>\n<p>Baier observed that the Russians had resisted strongly that claim, and that some U.K. leaders, such as Nigel Farage (ex-Brexit party leader), have doubted this story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs ever with Boris Johnson, lots of personality, lots of color, good story, but when it comes to facts, when it comes to detail, when it comes to the absolute truth, I think Boris Johnson\u2019s relationship with those things is somewhat loose, to put it mildly,\u201d Farage,<\/p>\n<p>When asked to respond to Farage\u2019s claims, Johnson said, \u201cWell, look, I think that the Kremlin \u2014 and I don\u2019t know if Nigel\u2019s speaking for the Kremlin, but the Kremlin are fabled for their complete refusal to tell the truth about anything that\u2019s happening in Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think what Putin was trying to do that was creep me out and try to \u2014 what he was doing, Bret, was trying to reduce it to a story about a nuclear standoff between \u2014 between Russia and NATO. And so that\u2019s why he talks about, \u2018I don\u2019t want to harm you with a missile,\u2019\u201d He continued. \u201cHe wants it to be about Russia vs. NATO, and he wants to drag in the whole nuclear issue. We have got to avoid being sucked down that rabbit hole. This is not what it\u2019s about. It\u2019s about the invasion of a completely innocent country, right, a European democracy, that was no conceivable threat to Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>BRET BAIER, FOX NEWS ANCHOR: Russia claims that it has captured a Ukrainian village located north of Bakhmut. It is part the Donbas region.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In other areas of Ukraine, missile and air strikes were also reported. Ukraine\u2019s defense minister says he\u2019s optimistic more Western military aid could be on the way. This is as President Biden states that the U.S. won&#8217;t be providing F-16 fighter planes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Tonight, we\u2019re pleased to welcome former Prime Minister of the U.K. Boris Johnson to \u201cSpecial Report,\u201d He just returned from his last trip to Ukraine. There he met with President Zelenskyy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>BORIS JOHNSON (FORMER BRITISH PRIME MISTER): It was a pleasure Bret. You are a great host.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>BAIER: You were the first Western leader in Ukraine to meet President Zelenskyy in Kyiv.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>What do you see on the map and what has happened since then?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>JOHNSON : I was just back in Ukraine a few weeks ago.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The situation in Kyiv is slightly better. However, I witnessed the destruction in that city, the loss of lives, and the total destruction of apartment blocks. And that\u2019s nothing compared to what\u2019s happening in the areas that Putin is still attacking.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Bret, the message I really have for you and for all of our viewers is that this is not a time to delay any support for Ukraine. Now is the time to double our support. Give them what they need, whether it\u2019s the tanks or the long-range artillery fires. They must expel Putin from the entire territory.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I also know the extraordinary work that Americans do. The quicker Putin leaves Ukraine, the faster we can return stability to the region. We also send a strong message to China, telling them that America, Britain, and the West will not tolerate forceful attempts to alter its borders.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Stick with it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>BAIER: You are correct, the op-ed you wrote about Putin opened the door for Ukraine&#8217;s entry into NATO.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You can then write: \u201cInstead of properly punishing him, Putin, we responded with a policy of craven appeasement. Ukrainians should be given everything they need to finish this war as quickly as possible.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Do you think there is a lack of willpower? You sense it? You were just on Capitol Hill.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>JOHNSON: Yes, so I just \u2014 I just talked to Lindsey Graham. I talked to Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy \u2014 Speaker McCarthy, loads of others.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I find there\u2019s a massive amount of bipartisan support. Look, I&#8217;d like to give a tribute to the Biden administration.
