His administration is also considering a new emergency regarding abortion access.<\/p>\n<p>The White House announced that the Coronavirus emergency orders, which were first in effect in January 2020, will expire on May 11. However, as these orders expire, the White House said that the administration will consider an emergency declaration to allow abortions to be performed more easily in light of the Supreme Court Dobbs ruling. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/newsletters\/axios-vitals-00f5e297-49df-46f3-a71b-6364164866a4.html?chunk=1&#038;utm_term=emshare#story1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There are discussions on a wide range of measures \u2026 that we can take to try to protect people&#8217;s rights,&#8221; Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra stated.<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s and Becerras announcements came as House Republicans pressure the administration to repeal the COVID public disaster declaration. It has provided funding for hospitals and allowed federal employees to work remotely. This week, the House will vote on a bill that would immediately end the emergency declaration, which Becerra extended earlier in April.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Do you realize that 47 percent of the federal employees are still not in for work?&#8221; House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) told Fox Business. &#8220;We&#8217;re going to pass that bill this week that brings those federal employees back to work to provide the service \u2026 that the taxpayers are paying them for.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Becerra <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/long-covid-biden-extends-public-health-emergency-for-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Extended<\/a> Just months after Biden in September stated that the pandemic was imminent, the pandemic crisis has now emerged. &#8220;is over.&#8221; The Biden administration\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/biden-admin-fights-to-reverse-ruling-that-blocked-airline-mask-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ask a federal court<\/a> This month, the CDC will reverse a decision which prohibited it from mandating public transport masks.<\/p>\n<p>Abortions would be considered a public health emergency. &#8220;free up resources to help people access abortions,&#8221; <em>Axios<\/em> reported.
