He told him that he wasn&#8217;t qualified for the job. \u201cinclusive\u201d According to the lawsuit, it is enough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn response to Olohan\u2019s request during the call for specifics as to why Google believed he was not inclusive, Google\u2019s Employee Investigations team explained that he had shown favoritism towards high performers, which it considered \u2018non-inclusive,\u2019 and commented on employees\u2019 walking pace and hustle, which it considered \u2018ableist,\u2019\u201d The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courtlistener.com\/docket\/66577374\/olohan-v-google-llc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Suit<\/a> said.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2022, Adam Stewart, vice president of Google\u2019s consumer, government &#038; entertainment division, told Olohan that there were \u201cobviously too many white guys\u201d in the division and in July, Stewart and the company\u2019s human resources department \u201cencouraged Olohan to terminate the employment of a male member of his team and replace him with a female hire,\u201d The suit was said.<\/p>\n<p>The suit stated that vague references to \u201cinclusion\u201d Olohan was simply criticized for being a white man. \u201cDefendants discriminated against Olohan because of his gender and race, in violation of his statutory rights,\u201d The suit was said.<\/p>\n<p>Olohan&#8217;s allegations of non-inclusion are noteworthy because his online footprint indicates that he had an unusually strong commitment towards inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>Olahan is married to an Asian woman and has seven children. According to a 2020 report, Olahan, a former tech executive, runs an ice-cream parlor that fosters inclusion by employing people with Down syndrome. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pioneeringcollective.com\/articles\/2020\/08\/27\/2020-8-27-rceiv1t7j0z9fcohxoliw4qa1u0nab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Article<\/a> about his shop\u2014which is called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sevenscoopsnj.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cSeven Scoops\u201d<\/a> And has the motto \u201cMany Flavors One Community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>New Jersey&#8217;s ice cream shop donated more that $70,000 to help the poor in its first six months. Olohan organized an event where dozens of children slept outside in tents to raise funds and foster empathy for the homeless.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy life revolves around God, family, Google and Seven Scoops \u2013 in that order,\u201d Olohan stated in the article.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawsuit, Google praised Olohan for his high performance and promoted him quickly. \u201cFounders Award\u201d Every year, you receive a $250,000 equity award.<\/p>\n<p>The suit claims that Olohan was victim to sexual harassment at work. However, the company seemed not interested in policing the matter. Tiffany Miller, a female employee was accused of drinking. \u201crubbed his stomach\u201d at work and informed him that he had \u201csuch a nice body,\u201d According to the lawsuit. Olohan filed a human resources complaint, but the company did nothing\u2014with an HR rep noting that if the situation was \u201creversed,\u201d According to the lawsuit, it would have happened if a man came onto a female.<\/p>\n<p>Olohan sued Google and Miller, claiming that Miller had repeatedly accused him. \u201cmicroaggressions\u201d It stated that in retaliation, however, human resources officials were present at his remarks and confirmed that the man had not microaggressed.<\/p>\n<p>Google made the statement in a statement \u201cThis employee was terminated with cause after a thorough investigation of complaints by numerous employees. We firmly stand by our decision here and we will vigorously defend ourselves against these claims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Olohan did no return my request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Miller representatives stated in a statement that \u201cThis lawsuit is a fictional\u00a0account\u00a0of events filled with numerous falsehoods, fabricated by a disgruntled ex-employee,\u00a0who was senior to\u00a0Ms. Miller at Google. Ms. Miller never made any \u2018advance\u2019 toward Mr. Olohan, which witnesses can readily corroborate. Even more disturbing is the overt sexism and racism in Mr. Olohan\u2018s efforts to blame others for his termination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Google One &#8211; \u201cantiracist\u201d Trainings were held for employees.
