Houck was accused in the Biden administration of violating federal laws for protecting his son against an angry abortion activist just four months before the not-guilty decision.<\/p>\n<p>After leaving the courtroom in a deadlock on Friday, on Monday a federal jury agreed Houck was not guilty of violating federal law, contrary to the Biden Department of Justice\u2019s position.<\/p>\n<p>The early-morning FBI raid on Houck\u2019s home included battering rams and ballistic shields <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/04\/with-new-documents-the-biden-administrations-targeting-of-a-pro-life-dad-just-got-crazier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">At the ready<\/a> and was committed even after Houck\u2019s attorney had told the U.S. Department of Justice Houck would turn himself in if they asked. Houck was arrested in September 2022. His lawyers assisted him. <a href=\"https:\/\/thomasmoresociety.org\/highlight-cases\/mark-houck\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Continuation<\/a> \u201cThis case is being brought solely to intimidate people of faith and pro-life Americans.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are, of course, thrilled with the outcome,\u201d Peter Breen, head for litigation for the Thomas More Society said that Houck was being defended in court. \u201cWe took on Goliath \u2013 the full might of the United States government \u2013 and won. The jury saw through and rejected the prosecution\u2019s discriminatory case, which was harassment from day one. This is a win for Mark and the entire pro-life movement. The Biden Department of Justice\u2019s intimidation against pro-life people and people of faith has been put in its place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Houck is now released from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-edpa\/pr\/bucks-county-man-indicted-federal-charges-assaulting-reproductive-healthcare-clinic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Threat<\/a> This is \u201ca maximum possible sentence of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $350,000.\u201d He thanked Americans for their support following the FBI raid, and subsequent federal prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>Houck was a pro-abortion advocate who had been ignoring threats to pro-life centers and violence against them for weeks. According to court documents, Love was repeatedly asked by Houck Sr. to stop.
