According to reports, he told the executive via a message that he was going to testify at the trial. \u201cwould really love to reconnect and see if there\u2019s a way for us to have a constructive relationship, use each other as resources when possible, or at least vet things with each other.\u201d Williams wrote that Williams requested \u201cvet things with each other\u201d is suggestive of an attempt to impact the witness\u2019s testimony, while the \u201cconstructive relationship\u201d Appeal is an invitation to him to cooperate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEfforts by the defendant to improve his relationship with potential witnesses that may testify against him may itself constitute witness tampering,\u201d He wrote. \u201cWere the defendant to \u2018vet\u2019 his version of relevant events with potential witnesses, that might have the effect of discouraging witnesses from testifying in a manner contrary to the defendant\u2019s narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Signal can be used by Bankman-Fried \u201cevade bail restrictions and pretrial oversight\u201d Encrypted messages on the platform might autodelete after a limited time. \u201cThe proposed bail conditions in combination would more effectively prevent the defendant from obstructing justice,\u201d Williams also added. \u201cThis proposed restriction will not inhibit the defendant\u2019s ability to communicate with others as he could still use text message, email, and conventional telephone calls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bankman-Fried was convicted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-pleads-not-guilty-allowed-to-conceal-who-is-securing-his-250-million-bond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">You are not guilty<\/a> Eight charges were brought against Mark Cohen, a Bankman-Fried lawyer, earlier this month.
