To help the president and smoothen the matter, he is making calls to the media and appearing on television. <\/p>\n<p>As criticism mounts, he and White House press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre work overtime to put out the fires. They appear transparent to the media and to the public, while at the same time hesitating about saying anything that might affect the DOJ investigation. <\/p>\n<p>Sams began his work as a spokesperson in 2020. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.legistorm.com\/person\/bio\/177170\/Ian_Charles_Sams.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Worked<\/a> As national press secretary for Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019s presidential campaign. Later, he joined the Biden Harris administration to be a spokesperson on the Department of Health and Human Services&#8217;s response. <\/p>\n<p><b>Richard Sauber, Special Counsel to the President<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Richard Sauber is the president&#8217;s special counsel. The country became aware of his involvement with classified documents handling. <\/p>\n<p>Sauber claimed that using his security clearance, Sauber was able to confirm that he had been authorized to enter the premises. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/white-house-reveals-five-additional-documents-discovered\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facilitated<\/a> After being discovered at Biden\u2019s Wilmington, Delaware home on Jan. 12, the DOJ requested the transfer of the third group of classified documents. The other two batches were found at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022 and at the Delaware home in December 2022. <\/p>\n<p>Sauber stated that he acts as counsel for the president but all questions will now need to be directed towards U.S. Attorney Robert Hur who was appointed special counsel by the DOJ to review the documents. Despite being expected to help the GOP-led investigations after Republicans won the majority of the House, Sauber is likely to shift gears following the attachment of his name to the controversy over classified documents. <\/p>\n<p><b>Bob Bauer is Biden&#8217;s personal lawyer<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Bob Bauer is helping Sauber with legal issues surrounding the documents. Biden&#8217;s personal attorney has given several statements over the last two weeks. These statements clarify the details of what happened during the search at Biden\u2019s Delaware residence, where many documents have been discovered. <\/p>\n<p>Bauer previously served as White House adviser to the Obama administration. Biden recently brought him to the documents case. <\/p>\n<p>He was the one who led the search for documents until Jan. 20 but, unlike Sauber he doesn&#8217;t have a security clearance. This fact has caused some controversy. <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/garland-biden-lawyers-search-classified-docs-draws-criticism\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Republicans have been harshly criticised<\/a> Congress. Jean-Pierre and Sam Bauer also spoke out regarding the timeline of discovery. James Comer (R-KY), who has been requesting visitor logs from the Delaware residence \u2014 something the White House has said it does not possess. <\/p>\n<p>In <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/2023-01-10-Letter-WHCO-Biden-confidential-docs.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Send a letter to Delery<\/a>Comer returned Biden&#8217;s comments about documents found at the home of former President Donald Trump. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden spoke candidly regarding his assessment of former President Trump\u2019s handling of presidential records,\u201d Comer wrote. \u201cThe Committee is concerned that President Biden has compromised sources and methods with his own mishandling of classified documents.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Comer also sought a list containing all classified documents, names and security clearances from aides charged with finding the documents. He was given a Jan. 27 deadline. Hur is a long-standing veteran of the department who previously worked in the same capacity for Trump&#8217;s Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and now as the FBI Director Christopher Wray. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION FROM THE WASHINGTON XAMINER<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Hur is similar to Jack Smith, who Garland appointed as special counsel for Trump&#8217;s case regarding documents. Trump named Hur the U.S. lawyer for Maryland in 2017.
