He also asked if the FAA was aware of adverse events related COVID vaccination. The letter was addressed to Federal Air Surgeon Susan Northrup and Billy Nolen, Acting FAA Administrator.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vaccine injured deserve to be seen, heard &#038; believed,\u201d Johnson spoke on Twitter. \u201c@FAANews \u2013 are you aware of the COVID-19 vaccine injuries in the aviation industry?\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The victims of vaccine injuries deserve to be heard, seen, and believed.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FAANews?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@FAANews<\/a> \u2013 are you aware of the COVID-19 vaccine injuries in the aviation industry?<\/p>\n<p>My letter highlights five of the severe adverse events that pilots and air traffic controllers have experienced.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BBVaxjBTkA\">https:\/\/t.co\/BBVaxjBTkA<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NVOFQwqgPi\">pic.twitter.com\/NVOFQwqgPi<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Ron Johnson (@SenRonJohnson) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenRonJohnson\/status\/1619124289503903745?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 28, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/wisconsin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wisconsin<\/a> Republican\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23589048\/2023-01-27-rhj-to-faa-re-covid-19-vaccine-adverse-events.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a> covered a variety of topics related to the COVID vaccine, including a question about new parameters adopted by the FAA in October related to AV block. AV block occurs when the heart cannot pump blood effectively because the electrical signal controlling the heartbeat is blocked, or partially blocked, <a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/diseases\/17056-heart-block\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to the Cleveland Clinic. This can cause dizziness, fainting, tiredness, and shortness of breath.<\/p>\n<p>Some had <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/fact-check-faa-pilots-heart-covid-373861551871\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">speculated<\/a> that the new parameters might be linked to COVID vaccination.\u00a0According to Johnson, a representative from the FAA told him last week that \u201cthe change has nothing to do with Covid vaccinations.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew scientific evidence enabled the FAA to safely raise the tolerance used to screen for a certain heart condition. The update was an effort to save pilots the expense of an unnecessary cardiac evaluation that did not contribute to a fly or no-fly decision,\u201d the FAA rep said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yet Johnson said in the letter that \u201cquestions still remain regarding the FAA\u2019s decision to issue this change and its awareness of adverse events connected to the COVID-19 vaccines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Johnson\u2019s letter also included a list of five pilots who he said had adverse events related to COVID vaccination.
