The events shown in the video comport with previous reporting by NBC\u2019s Miguel Almaguer, who cited sources at the San Francisco Police Department in his description of the event.<\/p>\n<p>But the day after Almaguer\u2019s report aired on the November 4, 2022 edition of Today, the network abruptly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/curtis-houck\/2022\/11\/15\/nbc-suspends-reporter-behind-mysterious-paul-pelosi-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Their video tweets were deleted<\/a> Almaguer was suspended after the segment. His report was the reason. \u201cdid not meet NBC News reporting standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The bodycam video of Almaguer&#8217;s report is now available. It seems that every detail he provided was factually correct. Here\u2019s the segment:<\/p>\n<p>We won&#8217;t embed the bodycam video because it shows a violent assault. However, anyone who wishes to see it can use it. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1619020098894979072\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This link<\/a>.\u00a0Friday&#8217;s home surveillance video of the suspect was also released <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1619027835003486210\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Intending to break into<\/a> The Pelosi Residence as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1619030091060895745\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Pelosi&#8217;s 911 Call<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Almaguer reported that Pelosi had been reported by San Francisco police. \u201cdid not immediately declare an emergency or try to leave his home, but instead began walking several feet back into the foyer towards the assailant,\u201d Which point \u201ca struggle ensued\u201d The assailant was holding a hammer and struck Pelosi with the hammer.<\/p>\n<p>The bodycam footage clearly shows that this description was accurate. The only salient detail missing was that, in the video, Pelosi also appeared to be firmly grasping the head of the hammer \u2014 likely to prevent the man from striking him with it.<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be asked: Why did NBC yank their story and suspend their journalist?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NBC should really explain to Miguel Almaguer, long-time correspondent, why they suspended him.
