Six of the seven charges against them were dropped, but they argued that the incident qualifies for a &#8220;terrorism enhancement&#8221; that would have given them a steeper sentence. The Biden Justice department then laid out the red carpet. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/how-the-left-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-domestic-terrorism\/\">Rahman and Mattis were allowed to plead guilty to a lesser charge<\/a> Asking for a light sentence from the court\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Enter the New York Times, on the eve of Mattis\u2019s sentencing, for a window into how the mainstream media\u2019s blinkered view of the world skews news coverage. The paper omitted the details of Team Biden\u2019s lenient approach but swooped in to inform readers that Rahman and Mattis are &#8220;both first-time offenders&#8221; Who &#8220;had been high achievers.&#8221; Rahman was &#8220;the primary caretaker of her aging mother,&#8221; Mattis, one of three foster children.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Funny thing is, we didn&#8217;t get those loving details about the hundreds January 6 defendants. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/05\/02\/us\/politics\/former-nypd-officer-convicted-jan-6.html\">Thomas Webster<\/a>Former New York Police Department officer and former Marine was convicted for assault. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/11\/18\/us\/dustin-thompson-capitol-riot-sentenced.html\">Dustin Thompson<\/a>Ohio exterminator, who stole a bottle bourbon from the Capitol and a coat rack.
