Pfizer did not respond, and has not commented publicly to any other news outlet about the sting. A spokesperson for BCG confirmed Walker \u201cbriefly\u201d worked at the firm, but he left in June 2021 and has not been involved with BCG since that time. IQVIA did not immediately return a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News\u2019 Tucker Carlson, host of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/fox-news-channel-largest-cable-tv-audience-7th-straight-year-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">highly rated cable news show \u201cTucker Carlson Tonight<\/a>,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/tucker-carlson-you-really-want-understand-how-powerful-big-pharma-is-consider-this\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on Thursday<\/a>\u00a0referred to Walker as a \u201chigh-level Pfizer executive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore than anything, you\u2019ve got questions,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat was that? This guy\u2019s a pretty high-level Pfizer executive confirming a lot of things you already suspected and telling you things you had no idea were going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carlson said his team called and emailed Pfizer, posing \u201cvery basic questions,\u201d including about Walker\u2019s employment status, \u201cbut despite their famously well-funded PR department, all the lobbying money they spend, they did not get back to us. The group said the video was taken within the last few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>If Walker is indeed privy to Pfizer\u2019s research operations and what he stated in the undercover video turns out to be true, the company will have a lot to answer for.\u00a0The \u201cexploratory\u201d work described by Walker could constitute gain-of-function research, though Walker characterized it as \u201cdirected evolution.\u201d Gain-of-function research, in which viruses are manipulated to become more dangerous, has become the subject of intense scrutiny in recent years amid suspicions that a leak from a lab in Wuhan, China, was where the COVID-19 outbreak began.<\/p>\n<p>Sen.
