Comer pointed out that there are many more than \u201c150 of Hunter Biden and the Biden network\u2019s international business transactions have generated suspicious activity reports (SARs) by U.S. banks for further review by the Treasury Department to determine if there is illegal activity or a threat to national security.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In response, the Treasury offers zilch.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/hotair.com\/jazz-shaw\/2023\/01\/27\/treasury-blocks-house-oversight-committee-from-hunter-biden-records-n526710\">HotAir<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>The Treasury\u2019s Legislative Affairs chief, Jonathan Davidson, responded to Comer, telling him to basically go pound sand. His letter wasn\u2019t quite that blunt, but he declined to provide any records, saying that the Treasury would need to know more details about why the committee would need such \u201chighly sensitive\u201d information. His justification for declining the request doesn\u2019t appear to be very substantial, however.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Comer was told by Davidson that he requires more information on why the panel requested such details. \u201chighly sensitive\u201d information.<\/p>\n<p>The response may have come from Jonathan Davidson, but you can rest assured that he wouldn\u2019t make that sort of decision without Janet Yellen signing off on it.
