This brings the total penalty imposed on Discount Retailer to $15 million. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dol.gov\/newsroom\/releases\/osha\/osha20230126\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Department of Labor<\/a> Since 2017.<\/p>\n<p>A press release from the department stated that merchandise was found blocking exit routes in Florida&#8217;s two stores by federal inspectors working for the Occupational Safety &#038; Health Administration. OSHA continues to make every effort to hold\u00a0Dollar General\u00a0accountable for its failures.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Dollar General is given fifteen days to comply.<\/p>\n<p>Dollar General did not respond immediately to a request for comments.<\/p>\n<p>According to the agency, similar violations have been identified in 19 stores across Alabama, Florida, and Georgia over the past eleven months.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2022, seven inspections were conducted in the three states. This was in addition to $1.6million in similar penalties from October.
