The historical averages will remain higher than prices in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The USDA\u2019s Economic Research Service pointed out that last year, the cost of food increased by 9.9%, whereas groceries rose 11.4%, while eating out costs went up 7.7%. \u00a0USDA projects that food costs will increase 7.1% in 2023. Groceries will increase by 8.2%, while dining out costs are expected to rise by 8.2%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The prices for eight specific food groups are expected continue to rise even though they saw increases last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The cost of next year&#8217;s taxes will be \u201cother meats\u201d Expected increases in the price of dairy products at 8% and 12.8% respectively \u201cfats and oils\u201d At 16.5% and processed fruits and vegetables at 9.6%. Sweet items and sugar will rise by 10.6%, bakery products and cereals will increase 12%, nonalcoholic beverages will rise 8.7%, while other food items will be 6.8% higher.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Consumer Price Index, (CPI) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/cpi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">went<\/a> up 6.5% during the past year in December, at a measurement that wasn\u2019t seasonally adjusted, and it also went down 0.1% seasonally adjusted. Although the CPI was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/qai\/2023\/01\/14\/is-inflation-slowing-down-what-the-latest-data-shows-and-what-it-means-for-your-portfolio\/?sh=31dae1281e6c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lower<\/a> It is now 7.1% higher than it was in 2007. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/opub\/ted\/2022\/consumer-price-index-up-7-1-percent-over-the-year-ended-november-2022.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November<\/a>Unfortunately, many Americans are still struggling to make ends meet because of the high prices of certain products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics the consumer price index of food rose 10.4% over the last year. This was the largest increase of any major category in the December data. Specifically, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/cpi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">food<\/a> in the home \u2014 groceries \u2014 went up 11.8%, whereas prices for eating out rose 8.3%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Since the beginning of the year, eggs have been a major concern as many consumers across the country have been affected by rising prices. The cost of eggs increased 11.1% last month and was 59.9% higher than December 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The egg cost is expected to increase by 27.3% in the coming year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Agricultural Outlet Successful Farming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agriculture.com\/news\/business\/high-food-inflation-to-persist-in-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pointed<\/a> Farmdoc Daily at the University of Illinois <a href=\"https:\/\/farmdocdaily.illinois.edu\/2023\/01\/us-price-inflation-focus-on-farm-prices.html\">blog<\/a> This was noted. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/farming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">farm<\/a> The average cost of living in the United States has increased faster than the costs of living during the last century. In the second half the past century, they rose less than the average consumer&#8217;s and producer&#8217;s costs.
