The Western New York town lies 285 miles from New York City.<\/p>\n<p>P.J., the Republican Chautauqua Country Executive, spoke out earlier in the month. Wendel expressed concern about the relocation of migrants to Jamestown, and asked for support from Democratic Governor. Kathy Hochul.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if it\u2019s 100 families, our school districts are small,\u201d Wendel <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/01\/13\/tiny-upstate-new-york-town-faced-with-nyc-like-migrant-influx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cThose schools don\u2019t have the resources. If they don\u2019t have a Spanish teacher, what are they going to do?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt could be overwhelming for us because how are we supposed to be helping these people?\u201d He concluded.<\/p>\n<p>The letter to the Biden administration is seeking information on how the White House is monitoring the status and locations of the migrants they\u2019ve relocated since January 2021. They are also asking for information on the destination of migrants who have been relocated from Mexico to New York State in January 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Stefanik (the House Republican Conference chair) also criticised the Biden administration. \u201copen border policies\u201d She considers it a threat to national safety.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden\u2019s open border policies have made every state a border state, and Far Left Albany Democrats\u2019 radical agenda is exacerbating the impact of the Biden border crisis in New York,\u201d Stefanik said last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.post-journal.com\/news\/new-york-news-apwire\/2022\/12\/new-york-braces-for-more-asylum-seekers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> The Post-Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Adams, New York City Democratic mayor, sent the letter as he continues to voice concerns over the migrant boom. The mayor stated that the influx could lead to a citywide economic downturn of up to $2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith more than 41,000 asylum seekers arriving in New York City since last spring and nearly 28,000 asylum seekers currently in our care, our city is at its breaking point,\u201d Adams\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/office-of-the-mayor\/news\/050-23\/mayor-adams-placement-new-humanitarian-emergency-response-relief-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0In a Saturday press release.<\/p>\n<p>Adams <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/nyc-to-house-migrants-at-cruise-ship-terminal-mayor-eric-adams-confirms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> New York City would temporarily accommodate migrants at a cruise terminal.<\/p>\n<p>Biden administration reportedly flew migrants to the state, in addition to the migrants being bused from Texas to New York. The Daily Wire reported July 26th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/aircraft-records-reveal-secret-migrant-flights-across-u-s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> Two flights brought migrants to Westchester County.
