You are partially blinded by the operating room lights as you slip into an anesthetic-induced state of consciousness. As the doctors surround you, trying to fix your heart, you are barely conscious. You can only hear glimpses of conversation before you fall asleep. However, one thing is clear: the last thing that you hear from your surgeon&#8217;s is \u201cI don\u2019t know how to handle these tongs \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You might think that there is no way our medical schools could produce such a qualified physician. The reality is that medicine standards are being lowered. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/unc-med-school-to-base-instruction-on-diversity-claim-organs-arent-gender-specific\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">already happening<\/a> \u2013 and it will get consistently worse until Americans put a stop to it.<\/p>\n<p>The University of North Carolina School of Medicine has revealed new evidence that the school pledges to provide it with more. \u201cintegrate social justice into the curriculum with anti-racist components\u201d They integrated it into their entire health system. It was all transcribed in a 2020 document. <a href=\"https:\/\/colorusunited.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Social-Justice-Task-Force-Report-and-Recommendations-Final-Final_12-9-20.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cThe Task Force to Integrate Social Justice into the Curriculum\u201d<\/a> Reaffirmed their transformation in the medical system in February 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/colorusunited.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/TaskForce_WebUpdate-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">update<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So focused is UNC School of Medicine \u201canti-racism\u201d A new study has shown that they are a <a href=\"https:\/\/donoharmmedicine.org\/2023\/01\/23\/the-unc-school-of-medicine-scores-92-on-the-aamc-dice-inventory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">92%<\/a> Compliance rate for a national Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), inventory. DEI is a very dangerous ideology. If institutions don&#8217;t comply, they could be labeled racists. These demands include requiring medical faculties to sign DEI declarations, and cutting doctor hours for learning about. \u201cunconscious bias,\u201d Grade doctors on their \u201cinclusivity\u201d Their medical performance is more important than their personal appearance.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know if UNC is being held hostage by the DEI lobby <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/inclusion\/about\/our-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">or by their own VPs.<\/a>\u00a0This has to stop.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of the immediate harms that DEI is inflicting upon UNC\u2019s medical quality is its recruitment of doctors. UNC School of Medicine already committed to practicing. \u201cholistic admissions,\u201d This means they actively admit less qualified doctor candidates from the black and Latino community over white and Asian physicians. This is justified by the fact that they believe it is &#8220;fair&#8221;. \u201canti-racism,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/donoharmmedicine.org\/2023\/01\/23\/the-unc-school-of-medicine-scores-92-on-the-aamc-dice-inventory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">newly released documents<\/a> The School of Medicine shows.<\/p>\n<p>This means that they admit black and Latino doctors who have lower MCAT scores than white doctors and Asian doctors with higher MCAT grades. (The whole school is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oyez.org\/cases\/2022\/21-707\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">currently facing<\/a> This practice was enacted in their undergraduate programs by the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>The lower standards for admissions to different groups represents a shift away from producing the most qualified doctors possible to producing doctors that meet racial or gender quotas.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible that MCAT scores do not predict how well a doctor will turn out, although MCATs are predictive. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cureus.com\/articles\/28573-correlation-of-medical-college-admission-test-scores-and-self-assessment-materials-with-the-united-states-medical-licensing-examination-step-1-performance#!\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">correlated<\/a> (performance on Medical Boards). It&#8217;s true, but is medicine really the best place to do such social experiments. These are patients\u2019 lives we\u2019re talking about here. The margin of error between life and death rests in the doctor\u2019s hands, and you want the best qualified doctor possible.<\/p>\n<p>A second problem with DEI in medicine, is the poor health advice that doctors will soon give patients. UNC School of Medicine\u2019s required textbook, the Social Medicine Reader, analyzes health disparities through the lens of \u201cintersectionality,\u201d Talking about how \u201cracism\u201d Impacts on health outcomes<\/p>\n<p>But any good doctor knows the predominant cause of ills in a person is that person\u2019s own family, genes, environment, and life choices, not \u201cracism.\u201d COVID was primarily a problem for those who were already suffering from it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/coronavirus\/in-depth\/coronavirus-who-is-at-risk\/art-20483301\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sick<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.science.org\/content\/article\/why-covid-19-more-deadly-people-obesity-even-if-theyre-young\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obese<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/coronavirus\/in-depth\/coronavirus-who-is-at-risk\/art-20483301\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">old<\/a>?, <a href=\"https:\/\/bjsm.bmj.com\/content\/55\/19\/1099\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sedentary<\/a> \u2013 yet the progressive medical community tried to blame the pandemic\u2019s effect on black Americans on <a href=\"https:\/\/news.harvard.edu\/gazette\/story\/2021\/04\/with-covid-spread-racism-not-race-is-the-risk-factor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cracism.\u201d <\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A good doctor would tell his patient honestly, but openly, that he can lower his chances of getting sick. He should also encourage him to exercise and eat a healthy diet. UNC Medical School claims that the Task Force to Integrate social justice is now UNC Medical School. \u201chealth disparities are primarily determined by structural factors, rather than by biological ones or by individual behaviors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is bad advice. DEI is leading UNC Medical School \u2013 and other medical schools across the nation \u2013 down to road to shamanistic, feelings-based healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>Medical errors are very common. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/news\/media\/releases\/study_suggests_medical_errors_now_third_leading_cause_of_death_in_the_us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">third-leading cause<\/a> According to a study, the United States has the highest rate of death, just below cancer and heart disease. Good medicine saves lives. Bad medicine can kill. Bad medicine cannot be allowed to leak into our medical facilities under the DEI.<\/p>\n<p>UNC-Chapel Hill\u2019s medical campus was most recently investigated by the federal government for putting patients in \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/health\/medical\/feds-threaten-unc-hospitals-funding-over-immediate-jeopardy-to-patient-health\/ar-AAZsx9w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">immediate jeopardy<\/a>.\u201d Only 3%of all hospital systems are so ignobly designated, with UNC\u2019s issues with patient rights, quality assessment, and infection control cited as evidence.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Should UNC realign its focus to combat this precarious environment in the medical field? \u201cracism\u201d Instead of the immediate needs of its patients,\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It can get so bad!
