I think because of my stance on Covid and maybe some other things I\u2019ve been cast as the villain especially the last few years. And so that is the way that a lot of things are often interpreted. I\u2019m not upset about that. I don\u2019t feel like a victim in any way. I don\u2019t have that mentality. That\u2019s fine. I actually embrace that role a little bit if that\u2019s how you want to cast me.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-block full\">\n<div class=\"video-player youtube\">[embedded content]<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Rodgers continued, \u201cI did see there were some comments that \u2018I\u2019m only playing for MVPs\u2019 and stuff like that. Didn\u2019t maybe quite see the entire clip of some of the stuff that I said. I don\u2019t care about that stuff. That doesn\u2019t offend me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then set his sights on the woke culture. \u201cI mean this culture \u2014 this woke culture wants to be offended by everything. You just go online and find something you don\u2019t agree with. \u2018I\u2019m offended. How could you possibly say that?\u2019 I don\u2019t really care. I don\u2019t care who it\u2019s coming from or who said it. They\u2019re entitled to their opinion. It might not be right and every now and then you gotta get on here and say, \u2018Hey, you know, need to spin some bulls**t.\u2019 Like that \u2018s just not true. Let\u2019s just tone it back a little bit. You might need to do that. Most of the time you just kind of gloss over it. Who cares. It doesn\u2019t affect my day-to-day. Doesn\u2019t interrupt my whale watching time. Doesn\u2019t interrupt me at all during the day. I don\u2019t agonize about Gronk said I shouldn\u2019t be worrying about MVPs. Gronk is my friend. Gronk is my favorite. He\u2019s awesome. He\u2019s fun energy to be around.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut what do they do? If you take the right sound bite from the right thing and its a station that may or may not have in the past been brought to you by Pfizer then they got to make sure that their villain gets cast in the correct light,\u201d He said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd whether or not they\u2019re sponsored by Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson &#038; Johnson, or whatever it might be when you go up against some of those powers that be, you put yourself in the crosshairs, they\u2019re going to paint you a certain way. And that\u2019s what the media did to me a couple years ago. That\u2019s fine. That\u2019s their prerogative. That\u2019s what they want to do. Everybody who plays the game wants to be MVP. You want to win a championship 100%. You want to go down in history on a championship football team. But everybody wants to win MVP too. Any sport.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou want to be recognized as the best of the best,\u201d Rodgers asserted. \u201cAnyone who says that they don\u2019t is lying or non-competitive. And either one of those I don\u2019t want to be a part of. Everyone who plays wants to be the best, and everyone who wants to be acknowledged. And then if you don\u2019t win it, you always say the right thing, \u2018Oh, it\u2019s more important to win championships.\u2019 But, of course, everybody wants to win it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of guys who played the game never even got an MVP vote. Rodgers addressed sports media complaints in November on The Pat McAfee Show.<\/p>\n<p>McAfee was informed by him. \u201cWell, there\u2019s a lot that goes into all those things. What I can control \u2014 two of them weren\u2019t great throws. You know, there\u2019s some other parts to plays. It\u2019s usually not just on one person. Every now and then it\u2019s just on one person, but there\u2019s a lot that goes into each play that could either avoid some of that thing and sometimes guys can screw parts of the play up and you can make a great throw, and make up for all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it wasn\u2019t a great throw to Dave and it wasn\u2019t a great throw to Bobby. I\u2019ve thrown a lot of those balls low around the goal line like that. I don\u2019t know that \u2014 in that play there was some other things that could have probably gone that could have made it a different type of window,\u201d He concluded.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cTwo of the interceptions weren\u2019t great throws.. And for somebody to play armchair quarterback who doesn\u2019t know what the hell play we\u2019re running or what\u2019s going on, that\u2019s fine. I don\u2019t really give a s*** to be honest with you. It\u2019s s***ty, you know ball goes up in the air and gets \u2014 we had a couple of those in the game, the ball\u2019s up in the air and our guys run into each other and the ball gets knocked down. S*** like that.
