Panic! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/married-panic-disco-singer-comes-out-pansexual-amanda-prestigiacomo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brendon Urie<\/a> He announced Tuesday that he would end the multi-platinum-selling, award-winning pop-rock band. Panic! was founded as a band, but transitioned to Urie\u2019s solo project in recent years. Urie indicated that he would retire from music after the final European tour. He wanted to be closer to his family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, it\u2019s been a hell of a journey\u2026\u201d Urie posted in a statement on the band\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CnzNF9ouOUp\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a> page. \u201cGrowing up in Vegas I could\u2019ve never imagined where this life would take me. So many places all over the world, and all the friends we\u2019ve made along the way. But sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin. We\u2019ve been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard. Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of being a father and getting to watch my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure. That said, I am going to bring this chapter of my life to an end and put my focus and energy on my family, and with that Panic! Urie, along with childhood friends Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson, founded the Disco. The band&#8217;s first album was released.\u00a0<em>A Fever You Can\u2019t Sweat Out,\u00a0<\/em>2005. The album and the second single were released in 2005. \u201cI Write Sins Not Tragedies,\u201d they were hugely successful. To date, the album was certified triple platinum. It sold over 3,000,000 copies and peaked 13th on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The single was certified quintuple gold, having sold more that 5,000,000 units. It peaked at number 7 in the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n<p>The band enjoyed commercial success for their entire run: their second album, 2008\u2019s <em>Pretty. Odd.<\/em>, went Platinum; the 2013 Album <em>Too Strange to Live, Too Rare To Die!\u00a0<\/em>went platinum, as did 2017\u2019s\u00a0<em>Pray for the Wicked<\/em>; Their 2015 album\u00a0<em>Death of a Bachelor\u00a0<\/em>went double platinum. The band has more than a dozen singles that have been certified platinum or higher, including \u201cThis Is Gospel\u201d (double platinum); \u201cHigh Hopes\u201d (5x Platinum); \u201cHey Look Ma, I Made It\u201d (double platinum).<\/p>\n<p>Jon Walker replaced Wilson in the band&#8217;s firing in 2006. Ross and Jon Walker were fired from the band in 2006, and replaced by Dallon Weeklyes.
