It\u2019s difficult to pin down precisely what happened,\u201d Pompeo. \u201cBut I could tell you that when we provided information to him and to his staff, it ended up in places it shouldn\u2019t have been with alarming regularity. We could see it. In the end, I decided, I held back information from them as a result.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">MIKE POMPEO &#8220;The fact that\u2026Schiff was the Chairman of the\u2026Intelligence Committee almost ruined that committee\u2026Schiff should be nowhere near serving on the Intelligence Committee. I don&#8217;t think he should be seeing classified information.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/3A0iwMc3Dq\">pic.twitter.com\/3A0iwMc3Dq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DailyCaller\/status\/1618335125707829248?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 25, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire reached out to Schiff\u2019s office for comment on Pompeo\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n<p>Schiff <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/adam-schiff-says-he-hasnt-leaked-classified-info-but-cant-speak-for-other-house-intel-democrats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">denied leaking classified information<\/a> In the past. \u201cI haven\u2019t. My staff hasn\u2019t,\u201d In 2020, he spoke to CNN before mentioning the caveat: \u201cI can\u2019t speak for what all the members of the committee have done or not done, including a lot of the Republican members.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pompeo isn\u2019t the first intelligence leader in the Trump administration to accuse Schiff of leaking classified information. Richard Grenell, an ex-acting Director of National Intelligence, made the claim that Schiff and his staff were leaking classified information in January 2021. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/grenell-schiff-classified-information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cregularly\u201d leaked<\/a> Information classified<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Tom Cotton (R.A.) suggested to Lisa Boothe, a conservative commentator, that Schiff be created in April 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/tom-cotton-adam-schiff-potential-source-russian-bounties\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">could be a source for dubious reports<\/a> Russia offered bounties to Afghan militants in exchange for their death. Patrick Boland, a Schiff spokesperson, responded with a short response. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/tom-cotton-adam-schiff-potential-source-russian-bounties\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Washington Examiner<\/a> It was at that time\u00a0\u201cYet another false and baseless claim by Tom Cotton \u2014 you would think he would know better by now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) were kicked out of the House Intelligence Committee by McCarthy on Tuesday. McCarthy had been accusing Schiff of being a repeat criminal, particularly in relation to Trump&#8217;s investigations. Pompeo also called Schiff an liar during his Fox News interview, and praised McCarthy&#8217;s removal from the panel.<\/p>\n<p>Hakeem Jeffries (D\u2013NY), Minority Leader, nominated Schiff to this committee over the weekend. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/democratic-leader-picks-schiff-and-swalwell-for-intel-panel-in-defiance-of-mccarthy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eminently qualified<\/a>.\u201d After he was blocked, Schiff\u00a0responded by claiming McCarthy\u2019s move was \u201cpetty, political payback for investigating Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also Tuesday, Schiff spoke out about how he felt. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/schiff-claims-he-never-took-classified-docs-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">too \u201cparanoid\u201d<\/a> While serving on the House Intelligence Committee, he was authorized to bring any classified information into his home. \u201cThis is what\u2019s so astounding, I think, for all of us on the Intelligence Committee. I never take classified documents to my house,\u201d Schiff told MSNBC\u2019s Andrea Mitchell, who asked if he had taken any records home. \u201cI don\u2019t know any reason why people would,\u201d Schiff has been added.<\/p>\n<p>The conversation took place as the documents were revealed to be classified. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/report-classified-documents-found-at-former-vp-mike-pences-home-in-indiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found at former Vice President Mike Pence\u2019s home<\/a> Indiana and handed over to the FBI.
