Calif.) was questioned by reporters about his decision to remove Democratic congressmen Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee. McCarthy dismissed one reporter&#8217;s accusation that he had avoided the question.<\/p>\n<p>Schiff &#8220;used his position as chairman\u2014knowing he has information the rest of America does not\u2014and lied to the American public,&#8221; The speaker said so. &#8220;He does not have a right to sit on that&#8221; committee.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It wasn&#8217;t just us who were concerned about it.
