The snowplow started once the truck was placed on the street. \u201csliding sideways,\u201d And then \u201cbegan to roll down the hill,\u201d Renner was compelled to jump out, even though he didn&#8217;t have the emergency brake. Renner saw that the snowplow was headed towards his nephew.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe feared the Pistenbully was going to hit (his nephew), so he decided to attempt to stop or divert the Pistenbully,\u201d The report says. Renner tried to enter the snowplow\u2019s cab but in order to do so he had to climb onto its moving track. He was \u201cimmediately pulled under the left side track,\u201d The report includes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough the Pistenbully had some mechanical issues, it is believed based on our mechanical inspection that the parking brake would keep the Pistenbully from moving forward. When Renner attempted to stop or divert the Pistenbully to avoid injury to (his nephew), he was pulled under the vehicle by the track and run over,\u201d The report is concluded.<\/p>\n<p>A 911 call\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/videos\/us\/2023\/01\/18\/jeremy-renner-911-call-snowplow-accident-contd-nr-melas-vpx.cnn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obtained by CNN<\/a> Video of Renner calling 911 from his neighbor. \u201ccompletely crushed under a large snowcat,\u201d Add that \u201cthe right side of his chest \u2026 collapsed \u2013 upper torso is crushed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 911 operator spoke to the female operator during the call. \u201cI need the address of the emergency please,\u201d The Daily Mail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11674971\/Hero-Jeremy-Renner-trying-save-nephew-hit-14-000lb-plow-report-says.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told you,\u201d The neighbor was frustrated and responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know, I just need to verify it, what is the phone number that you\u2019re calling from,\u201d The female operator insisted, and said, \u201cWhat is the phone you\u2019re calling from, just in case we get disconnected.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cListen to me, you might want to get life line out here immediately,\u201d The neighbor said it urgently and later added, \u201cHe\u2019s got a headwound as well. Can you give me an ETA?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s hard to give an ETA just because the snow on the mountain I don\u2019t know how quick they\u2019re able to go,\u201d The female operator replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow\u2019s he doing?\u201d Operator asked. \u201cShallow breath, a lot of pain; he\u2019s conscious we have him covered in blankets, his heads covered; he\u2019ll be drifting off,\u201d The neighbor responded.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs he starting to kind of drift off into sleep?\u201d Operator asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah,\u201d The neighbor responded.<\/p>\n<p>It took over 20 minutes for Renner\u2019s rescuers to reach him as roads were closed from heavy snow.
