The Justice Department has already appointed two special counsels in order to examine President Donald Trump&#8217;s use of classified document handling. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reader-unique-id=\"6\">Joe Biden<\/a> Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reader-unique-id=\"7\">Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"27\">Pence directed his team to search his home in Indiana and office at his political advocacy group, Advancing American Freedom (AAF), following revelations that classified documents had been discovered in Biden\u2019s office at the Penn Biden Center, a Washington think tank affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. No classified papers turned up in the search of Pence\u2019s offices at AAF.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"30\">Back in mid-November, Pence was asked on\u00a0ABC News\u2019 \u201cWorld News Tonight\u201d David Muir, anchor, asked if he had ever taken classified documents.<\/p>\n<p>Pence replied, \u201cI did not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you see any reason for anyone to take classified documents with them, leaving the White House?\u201d Muir pressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u200bWell, there\u2019d be no reason to have classified documents, particularly if they were in an unprotected area,\u201d Pence replied. \u201cBut I will tell you that I believe there had to be many better ways to resolve that issue than executing a search warrant at the personal residence of a former President of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExecuting a search warrant against a former President of the United States, for the first time in history, sent the wrong message to the wider world,\u201d Muir was told by Pence. \u201cI hope that the Justice Department will think carefully about next steps in that light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u201dAnd do you hope that future presidents are also careful with the message they\u2019re sending if they take classified documents with them from the White House?\u201d Muir asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u200bOf course,\u201d Pence replied.<\/p>\n<p>WATCH:<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">FLASHBACK:<\/p>\n<p>Muir: &#8220;Did you take any classified documents with you from the white house?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pence: &#8220;I did not.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Muir: &#8220;Do you see any reason for anyone to take classified docs from the White House.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pence: &#8220;There would be no reason.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VsUUntiwU1\">pic.twitter.com\/VsUUntiwU1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Price (@greg_price11) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1617937123948244993?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 24, 2023<\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Vice President Mike Pence said during an interview late last year that he did not take any classified documents with him from the White House.
