Insider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/google-layoffs-employees-psychological-safety-2023-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;How are we supposed to ever feel safe again?&#8221; One employee asked Google bosses.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;How can we reestablish psychological safety for Googlers after these layoffs?&#8221; Another staff member asked.<\/p>\n<p>As record-high inflation and skyrocketing interest rates under President Joe Biden bring an end to a decade-long tech-hiring spree, tech companies have eliminated at least 55,000 jobs in the past month.<\/p>\n<p>Insider reported that employees were upset by the uncertainty and the randomness of the firings.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The layoffs seem random,&#8221; One employee submitted a question. &#8220;I am pro-Google, but I&#8217;m pretty shook right now. Help me understand.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The dismissal of Googlers who were highly-skilled or had been with the company for a while stunned this employee and others. &#8220;Should I keep working superhard?
