Zero percent of black respondents stated that they had experienced a negative voting experience. &#8220;poor,&#8221; Comparable to 0.9 percent for white respondents.<\/p>\n<p>The polling is done after President Joe Biden. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2022\/01\/11\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-protecting-the-right-to-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a> last year that the state&#8217;s 2021 voting reform law\u2014which required ID for absentee voting and regulated ballot drop boxes, among other measures\u2014discriminated against black voters, calling it &#8220;Jim Crow 2.0.&#8221; Stacey Abrams, a failed Democratic candidate, repeatedly repeated Biden&#8217;s assertion during her most recent gubernatorial race, calling Georgia &#8220;Georgia.&#8221; &#8220;the worst state in the country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This month, a federal judge ordered Fair Fight Action, Abrams&#8217;s non-profit, to pay the state of Georgia $200,000 in legal fees. The suit was brought by the Washington Free Beacon alleging that the state suppressed minorities voters. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/federal-judge-orders-stacey-abrams-group-to-reimburse-georgia-230k-for-spurious-election-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>Abrams founded the group\u00a0 after losing [in 2018] She claimed that Kemp used his position in order to disenfranchise minorities voters during the campaign. In September, a federal judge ruled against Fair Fight Action. This was after a four-year legal battle. The judge stated that Fair Fight Action had provided no evidence that Georgia voters struggled for the vote.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Fair Fight Action must reimburse $192,628.85 for transcription and $38,674.86 for copying expenses that Georgia incurred while defending itself against the lawsuit. This is according to a bill of cost submitted Tuesday by U.S. District Court for Northern Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Abrams maintained that black voters were subject to state-sanctioned voter suppression, even though African-American turnout was at record levels in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We know that increased turnout has nothing to do with suppression,&#8221; Abrams said.<\/p>\n<p>Major League Baseball&#8217;s All-Star Game was relocated from Atlanta to protest Democratic claims of voter suppression.
