George Santos (the Long Island Republican who is a chronically untruthful and has fabricated much about his biography) claimed that he was able to survive an interview in a podcast interview. \u201cassassination attempt\u201d \u2014 and separately had his shoes stolen off his feet during a mugging in the middle of Fifth Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>During a December virtual sit-down with a Brazilian podcast, the notorious fabulist made several wild claims. The podcast was translated from Portuguese by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/rachel-maddow-show\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MSNBC\u2019s \u201cThe Rachel Maddow Show<\/a>\u201d and aired on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have already suffered an attempt on my life, an assassination attempt, a threatening letter, having to have the police, a police escort standing in front of our house,\u201d Santos, who used to go by the name Anthony Devolder before being introduced as George Santos Devolder on the show, said that he was now known as Santos.<\/p>\n<figure
