They are threatening to wreck our entire economy just to protect a wealthy handful,\u201d Warren <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PoliticusSarah\/status\/1617512662308655106?s=20&#038;t=ShVExr6oM-HkxjA1yeB1dw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf this were really about the national debt, then there are plenty of places we could go to stitch up loopholes like no more of the tax havens abroad to get that under control, but that is not where the Republicans want to go,\u201d She continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead, they want to cut Social Security and Medicare. Why? In the four years of the Trump administration, no muss, no fuss, just get it done,\u201d Warren continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut once we\u2019ve got a Democrat in the White House, now, nah, they don\u2019t want to raise the debt ceiling.
