Andy Biggs, R-AZ, reintroduced multiple bills \u201caddress COVID overreach on Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biggs provided an update via a press release Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow with a Republican majority in the House, we have a better opportunity to pass legislation that reverses COVID vaccine and mask mandate policies set by fanatics who seek to maintain control over Americans,\u201d Biggs <a href=\"https:\/\/biggs.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/congressman-biggs-reintroduces-group-bills-address-covid-overreach-americans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">With a Republican majority in Congress, we now have a better chance to pass legislation to reverse COVID vaccine mandate policies and to repeal mask mandate policies that were set by fanatics to keep Americans under their control.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep Andy Biggs (@RepAndyBiggsAZ) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepAndyBiggsAZ\/status\/1617530861632761860?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 23, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese power-hungry individuals are rejecting science. COVID cases and deaths remain low. Normal life has returned,\u201d He concluded. \u201cMost importantly, individuals should be making their own COVID and healthcare choices\u2014not tyrannical government officials. All types of COVID-related mandates have got to go and these pieces of legislation help us get there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The push includes six pieces. H.R. H.R. 125 seeks to abolish the public transport mandates. Biggs is first <a href=\"https:\/\/biggs.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/congressman-biggs-introduces-companion-legislation-repeal-mask-mandates-public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">introduced<\/a> The proposal was submitted in July 2021 and co-sponsored seven other GOP Congressmen.<\/p>\n<p>H.R. The 118th <a href=\"http:\/\/biggs.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/biggs.house.gov\/files\/No%20Vaccine%20Passports%20Act.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No Vaccine Passports Act<\/a>, which would prohibit the federal government from issuing any standardized documentation that could be used to certify a U.S. citizen\u2019s COVID status to a third party, such as an airline. This bill, which was introduced in April 2021 for the first time, would also ban proof that COVID vaccination is required to have access to federal or congressional property and services.<\/p>\n<p>H.R. H.R. 119, also known as the Freedom from Mandates Act would prohibit federal vaccine mandates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe American people must be allowed to make their own health care decisions,\u201d Biggs <a href=\"https:\/\/biggs.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/congressman-biggs-introduces-freedom-mandates-act\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a> When he was co-sponsor of the bill in September 2021. \u201cIt is their right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fourth bill <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/118\/bills\/hr117\/BILLS-118hr117ih.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">H.R. 117<\/a>If so, \u201cprohibit any entity that receives Federal funds from the COVID relief packages from mandating employees receive a COVID-19 vaccine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fifth bill <a href=\"https:\/\/iqconnect.house.gov\/iqextranet\/iqClickTrk.aspx?&#038;cid=AZ05AB&#038;crop=0000.0000.0000.0000&#038;report_id=&#038;redirect=https%3a%2f%2fwww.congress.gov%2f118%2fbills%2fhr103%2fBILLS-118hr103ih.pdf&#038;redir_log=921826728817386\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">H.R. 103<\/a>This would prevent the Secretary of Transportation depriving foreign airlines and air carriers from requiring that each individual be negative for COVID before they can travel on an airline carrier.<\/p>\n<p>The final bill, known as the No Mandates Act (or the No Mandates Act), was passed. <a href=\"https:\/\/biggs.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/biggs.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/no-mandates-act_01_23.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">says<\/a>, \u201cNo agency may issue any rule regulations, or guidance requiring any individual to receive a vaccination for COVID-19.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biggs was just one of 20 GOP officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-20-house-republicans-who-demanded-change-and-won-are-seen-as-heroes-not-holdouts-to-many\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">holdouts<\/a> Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R. CA) was blocked from becoming House Speaker. McCarthy won the 15th round of voting, and the Arizona congressman sought briefly to be elected as speaker.<\/p>\n<p>Rumours of the Arizona Republican running for Senate in 2024 have circulated. He would likely face Kyrsten Sinema, an independent senator, if he were to become the top GOP candidate. <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/3826309-gallego-announces-campaign-for-sinema-senate-seat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently announced<\/a> Democratic candidate Rep.
