There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,\u201d Brady continued. \u201cI have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brady announced that he would be playing a 23rd year in March, 40 day after he announced his retirement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese past two months I\u2019ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,\u201d Brady tweeted. \u201cThat time will come.
