Kardashian is co-founder of Skims (a multibillion-dollar company that makes shapewear) and has recently founded Skyy Partners, which is a private equity fund.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy partner Jens and I spoke about our marketing, our challenges and our greatest wins,\u201d She shared the following on Instagram: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CnsJx9QSjf5\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">photos<\/a> You will be enriched by the experience. \u201cI\u2019m so proud of Skims and the thought that it is a course being studied at Harvard is just crazy!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One student said that she enjoyed the lecture and told NBC10 Boston.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think a lot of people don\u2019t respect her as someone who is co-running a multi-billion dollar company,\u201d The student said so. \u201cJust to learn from someone who has built such a successful business was really exciting and I think having the privacy of no cameras in the room, being able to have that candid conversation was special too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Skims&#8217; valuation jumped from $1.6billion to $3.2billion in nine months because investors bought equity in the brand. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-01-27\/kim-kardashian-s-skim-underwear-brand-doubles-valuation-to-3-2-billion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> Bloomberg. The company now stocks shapewear, pajamas and sweatpants as well as turtlenecks and underwear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis latest round will allow us to focus on bringing more innovations and solutions to our customers and become even more of a trusted resource for them,\u201d Kardashian stated this in an email.<\/p>\n<p>But social media users were skeptical of Kardashian&#8217;s value to the Ivy League business school. It boasts alumni such as Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Andy Jassy, former President George W. Bush and Amazon CEO Andy Jassy. One commenter <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BerlinSmu\/status\/1616983657754906626\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that \u201cHarvard\u2018s prestige has evaporated into thin air in my mind,\u201d while another <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SasSassasassa\/status\/1616900297829359616\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">added<\/a> that Harvard \u201cshould be ashamed of themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKim Kardashian was born into wealth,\u201d another user <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MsHollyBennet\/status\/1616536532906639384\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">declared<\/a>. \u201cAttempted to use a sex tape to launch an acting or singing career; neither launched \u2026 Harvard is just as tacky as the Kardashians now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grit Capital CEO Genevieve Roch-Decter, who has studied under two Harvard Business School Executive Education courses, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GRDecter\/status\/1617313460219674624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted<\/a> that Kardashian earns $80 million per year, more than 450 times higher than the average $175,000 earned by Harvard MBA students after graduation. \u201cI think everyone\u2019s making fun of the wrong person here,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Kardashian received widespread criticism after her speech opportunity. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/kim-kardashian-slammed-for-statement-over-balenciaga-scandal-there-is-no-grey-area-here\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">response<\/a> Balenciaga fashion magazine has released a photoshoot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/balenciaga-responds-to-child-bdsm-photo-shoot-scandal-we-could-have-done-things-differently\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">depicted<\/a> Young children with teddy bears dressed in bondage-themed gear. Publicly, as other celebrities <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/trash-day-brittany-aldean-shares-photo-of-balenciaga-gear-stuffed-in-garbage-bags\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">threw<\/a> Kardashian has not ruled out working with Balenciaga in the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI appreciate Balenciaga\u2019s removal of the campaigns and apology.
