Otherwise, why would the attorneys even look?\u201d McCarthy asked. \u201cWhoever hires lawyers to be movers?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since Biden\u2019s lawyers found the classified material in his private office, Biden\u2019s attorneys have located more classified documents at Biden\u2019s home in Wilmington on three separate occasions: an unspecified number found in the garage on December 20, one document found in Biden\u2019s study on January 11, and five more found in the study on January 12.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Attorney General Merrick Grland\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/merrick-garland-appoints-special-counsel-to-investigate-biden-classified-document-scandal\">appointed<\/a>\u00a0former U.S. Attorney Robert Hur \u2014 who served during the Trump administration \u2014 to serve as special counsel in the investigation after the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch, who was assigned to do an initial review of the case, recommended to Garland that a special counsel be appointed.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the Department of Justice\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/doj-declined-to-monitor-biden-attorneys-search-for-classified-docs-at-presidents-home-report-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">declined<\/a>\u00a0to assign FBI agents to monitor the search of Biden\u2019s home under a mutual agreement reached with Biden\u2019s personal attorneys. Department officials reportedly believed that FBI supervision would overly complicate the federal investigation into classified documents related to Biden and that the supervision was unnecessary with Biden\u2019s cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-issues-statement-over-classified-document-scandal\">responded<\/a>\u00a0He responded to Thursday&#8217;s scandal by claiming that he has \u201cno regrets\u201d Concerning his actions and the possibility of him being questioned about the investigation \u201cquite frankly bugs\u201d him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re fully cooperating, looking forward to getting this resolved quickly,\u201d Biden claimed. \u201cI think you\u2019re gonna find there\u2019s nothing there. I have no regrets. I\u2019m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do \u2014 that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re doing.
